  1. Paul Chaykowski says:

Hi Dr. Bergman, my name is Paul. I’m a 17 year old male in Ontario Canada, and I have scoliosis.

My curves are 8 degrees by 10 degrees. I am almost done growing, so I need help fast. The scoliosis causes dysfunctional musko-skeletal patterns/movement, abdominal wall dysfunction, organ problems, etc.. This also makes the scoliosis all the more crushing, especially to someone athletic like myself, as I can’t even squat (properly) or do anything like that, I literally can’t even stand up straight. The scoliosis could also be due to something such as lumbar curve compensation (I did due a lot of hypolordotic type exercises, and some dysfunctional stuff), leg length discrepancy, inflamed organ, etc..

I did extensive research on the internet, and found many clinics claiming they could treat scoliosis, most of them being chiropractic-type clinics. A few of the clinics also prescribe at-home exercises for a few months to try to reduce the scoliosis as much as possible, and reprogram the brain to hold the spine in a better position. Out of all the clinics my plan is to go to one of them (all of them are in the US, and I couldn’t find one in Canada), and receive intensive treatment for a few weeks. My parents are okay with this, they just want to explore the conservative method a little more first, (but it’s a dead-end) then we will try one of the clinics/specialists.

I have an uncle who is an orthopedic surgeon in the USA, and he says that if SickKids in Toronto cannot help me, then no one can. I looked them up, and they seem to take the conservative approach, (which is the same approach as my physiotherapist told me), which is that if it’s not past 25 degrees, don’t worry about it. My uncle later told me that chiropractic can’t fix/change scoliosis, and something along the lines of; if it works, then why hasn’t the western medicine endorsed it? He said that chiropractic didn’t work, and I should do nothing. For anyone who has even a basic understanding of the nervous system, or the muskoskeletal system, that is definitely not a practical approach. My body is rampant with dysfunctions (and it was even before the scoliosis), so I would at least have to treat these muscle imbalances (through foam rolling, stretching, etc).
My goal is to reduce my scoliosis as much as possible.

Would I be able to come down to your clinic in California and receive intensive treatment for a few weeks there?
What do you think of CLEAR certification, and the International Chiropractic Scoliosis Board?
Are any of the institutions that I think I need to visit:

Janzen and Janzen Chiropractic (also in California), http://www.solbergcenter.com/scoliosis.htm, Hudson Valley Scoliosis, Scoliosmart/treating scoliosis.com, South Florida Scoliosis Center, eligible?

One of the institutions said after I sent an image of my x ray I could get a 50% curve reduction, form 1 week intensive treatment, and 4 months post exercising. Do you think he could tell just from an image on an x-ray, and my age?

Also, could I send you pictures of my x-rays, so you could tell me roughly how much correction could be achieved?

Should I see an advanced neuromuscular therapist?

I know I threw ALOT at you there. I’m just really struggling to know what I need to do. Thank you so much for your time. Please reply. God Bless,

    Paul.

    • Hello Paul,

Every scoliosis case is different, but in even the worse cases including surgical fusions it’s possible to regain your spinal health. Also at such a young age I’m certain that with the proper chiropractic techniques you’ll be able to completely restore your spinal health. I’m sure you’ve probably seen my videos on scoliosis correction but just in case, here are a few if you’d like to learn about my techniques:

      https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H-bY7wvGs98
      https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5NKEf-trK-8

It’s important to keep in mind that very few chiropractors can actually reverse scoliosis even though many claim that they can. There are a few chiropractic organizations and clinics that claim to be able to reverse scoliosis, however I have yet to find another clinic that produces similar results as mine.

First, obviously the best option would be to find a chiropractor in your area that can reverse scoliosis. You can use these 7 questions to find the best possible chiropractor in your area.

      1. Do you take x-rays? (essential to find the subluxations)
      2. Do you get listings off of x-rays? (shows where to adjust)
      3. Do you take post x-rays to document structural changes made?
      4. Are your treatment goals to reshape and restore the natural curves?
      5. Are you familiar with correcting disc injuries?
      6. Do you work on post surgical patients?
      7. Can you reverse arthritis?

If you can find a chiropractor in your area, but they aren’t producing any results, I can help train and teach this doctor my methods of treatment which are extremely effective. I’ve trained hundreds of doctors over the years and I taught chiropractic techniques for 8 years at Cleveland Chiropractic College. I have training videos available on Youtube and I can skype with them to discuss treatment protocols and techniques in detail. So if your doctor is open and willing to learn I’m available to teach them everything I know about healing.

If you can make it to my clinic in Huntington Beach, California I’ll be able to treat you personally and get your spine functioning optimally again. I’ve had many patients travel from around the world to get treatment at my clinic so we have special treatment protocols to achieve the greatest amount of spinal correction in the least amount time. Generally, it takes about 90 days to get the corrections in the spine and nervous system your body needs to heal and function properly, however, we can condense the length of treatment into a couple weeks by increasing the frequency of treatments. For example, in 90 days we would normally do 3-4 treatments per week, but for our long distance patients we would do 3-4 treatments per day. With these special treatment protocols we see amazing results in a very short amount of time. Typically we’re able to get these patients out of pain and a reduction of symptoms within 2 days, off all medications within a week, and we see massive structural changes in the spine within 4 weeks. So 4 weeks of treatment would be best, however, I understand that not everyone can arrange their schedule to take this much time off. Obviously the longer you stay, the more corrections we’ll be able to achieve.

As for the cost of treatment at my clinic, it’s $129 dollars for the new patient exam, x-rays, and report of findings which includes your first adjustment. After the exam I’ll be able to tell you exactly how long it will take to completely correct all underlying issues in your spine and nervous system which are negatively affecting your health. Based on our findings in the exam we’ll come up with a treatment plan that fits you and your schedule. I usually recommend the 90 day or 60 adjustment plan to start with which costs $3,600.

As for accommodation during your stay, places range from $100 to $400 per night at a hotel or you may find a deal at http://www.airbnb.com. When you know the exact dates that you’ll be coming you can give my office a call and we might be able to arrange affordable accommodation for you with one of our contacts in the area.
Here’s my office website and contact info, feel free to call my office and my wonderful staff will help you in any way they can:
      http://bergmanchiropractic.com/
      714-962-5891

For my long distance patients I always suggest an online consultation before you make the journey over to my clinic so we can discuss the details of your case and our treatment protocols. Another benefit of the online consultation is that I can give you specific exercises to start correcting the structural/biomechanical problems in the spine as well as a list of proper diet and lifestyle changes you can start implementing now to start healing the body immediately.

To schedule an online consultation you can go to owners-guide.com or use the link below and find the “Out of Towner Special” which will include the cost of the new patient exam:
      https://www.owners-guide.com/online-consultation/

After you get treatment at my clinic we’ll have corrected the structural and biomechanical issues in your spine so if you can find a decent chiropractor in your area to continue care to maintain these structural changes that would be great.

Let me know if you have any more questions, I’ll help in any way I can.

      • Paul Chaykowski says:

Thank you very much for your help Dr. Bergman.

I just have one more question; when the maximum correction/improvement is achieved, will I have to maintain the changes for the rest of my life, like, will I always have to visit a chiropractor in order for those changes to stay?

        • Once the structure of your spine has been restored you won’t necessarily need to get regular chiropractic care throughout your life, however keep in mind any traumas you experience throughout your life will cause changes to the structure of your spine. These traumas include sitting down for long periods of long, a slip or fall, a car accident, etc. So it would be a great idea to get a spinal checkup at least once a year to make sure your spine is functioning optimally.

      • Paul Chaykowski says:

Hey Dr. Bergman, sorry to keep bugging you. I feel like this is a stupid question, and I am being neurotic, I just want to be thorough. One other institution which I contacted via email, in which I asked the 7 questions, responded to number 4 with:

Question: Are your treatment goals to reshape and restore the natural curves?

Their answer- Our treatment goals are to preserve quality of life, function, reduce curvature and stabilize the spine.

It just seemed a little vague, and I recall you saying that if a clinic answers yes to around 5, they they are generally eligible. I just don’t know whether or not this answer is the “right” answer, especially with regards to restoring natural curves. Again, I feel like I’m being stupid, I just trust your judgement a lot more then mine lol! Thanks again so much for your time. Your help has been great.

        God Bless,

        Paul.

        • Hello Paul,

So a great way to tell if a chiropractor is worth your time is to ask if they take pre and post x-rays, meaning x-rays before chiropractic care and x-rays done after the initial treatment. If they take pre and post x-rays then this proves if their therapies are effective or not. For example, I have thousands of pre and post x-rays of all sorts of cases that I can show you to prove my techniques are effective.

If they’ve answered at least 5 with a yes then it might be worth it to give them a chance and if you don’t see any structural changes after their post treatment examination then it’s time to find a more highly skilled chiropractor.

  2. Hello dr,

Anyway, i use buscopan daily. What can i do to reduce this situation and stop using buscopan. This is usually in the morning when i wake up i get the worse feeling over the day it seem to be better. Your kind reply will be appreciated. Thank you

    • Hello,

I actually just did a video on Bladder cancer in which I explain many solutions to bladder issues that will help you with the healing process. This video should be uploaded within the next few days. For now, since you already know you have issues with your nervous system, I high recommend you get to a corrective chiropractor immediately because if the nerves that supply the bladder are compromised, there’s no amount of nutrients that will correct this. The nerves that supply both the abdomen and the bladder both originate from the autonomic nervous system which consist of two parts. You have the Parasympathetic Nervous System which controls rest, healing, and the digestive system. Then you have the Sympathetic Nervous system which is the fight or flight response. The sympathetic nervous system reacts to 3 forms of stress whether it’s chemical, physical, or emotional stress the result is the same… blood pressure decreases to your digestive system and most of your normal organ function shuts down to bring more blood to the arms and legs. The sympathetic response is an involuntary reaction of your body to keep you alive in stressful situations. The problem is most people are in a Sympathetic Dominant State because we are surrounded by those 3 stressors almost constantly. This state of chronic stress is the reason why we see so many chronic health conditions in our society.

This is the reason why you can take all the healthy supplements and healthy food in the world and still not heal from certain diseases or conditions. If your sympathetic nervous system is active, your organs aren’t functioning properly and you won’t be able to absorb those wonderful nutrients.

Focus on eliminating those 3 stressors to start healing your body properly. Chemical stress comes from vaccinations, antibiotics, medications, toxins in our food, and toxins in the environment. Emotional stress can come from daily stressors like your job or relationships and from major emotional events. Physical stress can be from injuries, trauma, daily activities, or underlying problems in your spine.

The spine surrounds the spinal cord and any deviation from the normal structure or biomechanics of the spine can cause major health issues. Whether you’ve suffered a major trauma or you sit everyday at work the effect on your spine can cause nerve interference or compression which prevents the brain from communicating with the rest of the body. This is where a corrective chiropractor will come in handy during your healing process. In addition to addressing the other stressors in your life, a corrective chiropractor can analyze your spine and nervous system, identify the underlying problems and treat them accordingly. This is what I do everyday in my office and our methods are extremely effective in healing all sorts of issues with the body.

You can use these 7 questions to find the best possible chiropractor in your area. . If they answer at least 5 with a YES, then you can be sure you’ve found a decent chiropractor.

  3. Cynthia Giles says:

Yes Dr Bergman. I have not heard a response from you as yet.. I posted a question in regard to a medication poisoning i had . I was on the trans dermal patch for about 5 weeks for dizziness and seeing different doctors found out that it was the patch making me so dizzy and everything that went along with it.. I have been off the patch for about six weeks and I did go through severe withdraw and ended up in hospital. I have been trying to do all the detoxing you suggest and somedays i dont have much dizziness but somedays I do. i feel its still the medication hanging on. i just always feel off. please tell me how to get rid of this completely. just started colonics to. I bought the bensonite clay but not sure how to use it. They did take mri and all types of hearing tests and everything of the hearing tests are normal. but they say the mri shows some types of sarcoidosis which i have no symptoms of at all. I have not even went to see the neurologist that diagnosed that because i have no symptoms. I have been getting adjusted with a really good chiropractor who follows you a little but he is very good and I am feeling much better than before. could not even walk because I was so dizzy. but i feel like i am at a stand still and I need to get better. can you help me please . I would like for you to look at my records and tell me what is really wrong. I do have to admit that i am having alot of short term memory loss and I think it is due to the medication still. I eat fermented foods and do the supplements and coconut oil everyday. only organic 99% of the time. I use to be a walker doing 2 to 3 miles everyday for years but have not been able to exercise because i get to dizzy..thinking of doing a sauna to sweat.. help me please..please let me know what you suggest. and if you would examine my mri.. thank you
    .

    • Hello Cynthia,

Vertigo and dizziness are extremely common these days and is simple to correct if you address all the underlying causes. The two biggest underlying problems are mineral deficiency and a lack of proper nerve supply. You can start by switching to an organic plant based diet with plenty of healthy fats and start taking a high quality mineral supplement. You’ll need to find a corrective chiropractor can analyze, identify, and correct any issues with the nervous system and spine. Most likely there are structural and biomechanical issues in your upper cervical region as well as the bones of the skull that are causing nerve interference or impingement to the nerves that supply the inner ear. So you need to find a chiropractor with the skills necessary to reshape the structure of the spine, restore normal biomechanics to the joints, manipulate the sutures of the skull, and stimulate the nervous system to promote healing. There are very few chiropractors with these kind of skills so choose very wisely when looking for a chiropractor.

Here’s a video that’ll help you find the best possible chiropractor in your area:

Memory loss, cognitive impairment, and general brain fog are all signs of chronic stress. I explain the mechanism of how stress affects the body in my latest video on women’s health if you’d like to learn more:
      https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4xgkouoNZB0

With the proper dietary and lifestyle changes like Deep Sleep every night along with corrective chiropractic care you can address all causes of chronic stress and massively improve your health, especially your brain function.

  4. Lisa Hardy says:

Hi Dr. Bergman I hope this is the right place to post case specific health concerns….
Diagnosed with UC around 3 years ago went into hospital for 9 days 2 years ago after remission last summer I am in my 4 month of flare up and started cramping today so feel I have no choice to put my meds up to maximum dose that I can manage at home (150mg Azathiorprine + 1 supposartary of asocol). I have started to improve my diet but am struggling with fibre rich foods – now I am pretty scared to eat everything (as hospital say low fibre high fat diet), do you have a list of what food is good and bad, I have seen the worksheet but is there any other reference you could point me to please? I am bleeding quite badly and exhausted however if I keep up my meds hoping I wont have to go back in to hospital for further coloscopies. I had sever back pain whilst bending over the cot after the birth of my daughter but that was 6 years ago now, I thought I had piles after birth. Im in my mid 30’s single mum and so don’t want to be living a life like this, I do have quite a lot of emotional stress with my work situation. Please can you help me – Lisa.

    • Hello Lisa,

The best place to post questions would be either in the Forum or in the are listed as “Questions for Doctor Bergman”.

Ulcerative Colitis is a chronic inflammatory response to toxins in food and the environment. Vaccinations, antibiotics, and medications will further damage the digestive system. You can start the healing process by detoxing your body, eliminating toxins in your diet/lifestyle, strengthening your immune system, and getting your nervous system checked by a corrective chiropractor.

If you’ve seen my videos on IBS and UC I explain exactly how to treat and correct these conditions. The key is to reduce inflammation and promote healing through the body’s natural processes. First, make sure you take care of the basics like proper nutrition, sleep, and exercise. You should be on an organic plant based diet and avoid any packaged/processed food as well as any meat, even organic meat. Meat causing an inflammatory response in the digestive system. Make sure you’re drinking plenty of water every day as this will decrease inflammation. Proper water intake is half your body weight in ounces… 200lb man needs 100 ounces of water every day. Sleep is incredibly important and I have many videos that discuss the importance of sleep in the healing process. Watch my videos on sleep and make sure you’re getting proper REM sleep every night. Make sure you always have these basic principles down because this will aid in the healing process and will have to be continued for the rest of your life to maintain optimal health. Like I explain at the end of every video, the 5 keys to Health are: nervous system, proper nutrition, proper exercise, proper sleep, and prayer/meditation.

Now for the good stuff…. Juicing and blending are extremely effective in healing UC. Juicing vegetables and blending fruits will decrease inflammation throughout the body and especially in the digestive system. If you don’t have a juicer or don’t know how to juice, I have several videos that explain this in detail. Juicing/blending breaks down the food to make it easier on your digestive system and helps nutrients to be absorbed much faster into your body. Short term and long term juice fasts have been extremely beneficial in treating UC and many other conditions. If you’ve never done a juice fast before, I recommend you start with a 3-7 day juice fast where you’re drinking around 20-30lbs of veggies in juice form. This will flood your body with healing nutrients, vitamins, minerals, and healthy bacteria. Following a juice fast with a hydro-colonic is also very beneficial for flushing out toxins in the large intestine. This is the fastest way to heal UC and is extremely effective. Even after the UC has been resolved, you should be juicing and blending on a daily basis to prevent any issues in the future.

Check out the videos below to learn about the proper diet/lifestyle changes you should start making as well as a detailed video on juicing/blending:

      https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7HF-P4TPaFo

      https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=INrXthOFQtU

The most important part of the healing process will be correcting any underlying issues with your spine and stimulating the nervous system to promote healing as well as normal function of your organ systems and body. To do this, you need to find a corrective chiropractor that can analyze your spine and nervous system, identify the specific problems, and correct them accordingly. Structural and bio-mechanical problems in the spine can cause nerve interference or nerve impingement which cause dysfunction of your organs and interrupt the communication between the brain and body. By restoring proper nerve flow and communication to the body you’ll see massive changes in your health. This is what I do every day in my office and I see incredible changes with every single patient. Make sure you find a chiropractor with the skills necessary to reshape the structure of the spine, restore normal biomechanics, and stimulate the nervous system to promote healing and normal function.

  5. HI Dr Bergman,

    HI Dr Bergman,
My name is Rehana from Manchester, UK. I 45 years old and up until 9 years ago had no health issues. 2007 diagnosed with over active thyroid (took neomercazol + Inderal + anti-inflammatory for 9 months then stopped – side effect was severe myopathy couldn’t even hold my body weight up).
Had a terrible back seizure MRI findings L4 mild protrusion and LS1 bulge. Lived off painkillers for next 2 years not knowing any better, until I figured my digestion was severely compromised. Came off all meds and used what I knew (Evening Primrose Oil, Coconut oil and Vit E). Combination of these things helped to keep me stable and thyroid under control – since 2008.
Looked into magnesium flakes thanks to Dr Mark Sircus and his work – and began hot stone massage treatments as they were effective as pain management.
I have managed like this for last 8 years – until recently the back seizures have become frequent and it’s mentally and physically challenging – I began experiencing a strange pressure release at the back of my head connected to bowel movement and some kind of nerve pressure under left jaw and pressure if I ever lay on my left side. I knew these symptoms were connected just didn’t understand how. Thank God, I came across your lumbar sciatica video and it all fell into place. God bless the work you do.
I started doing the twist exercises you recommend after my last seizure as soon as pain subsided; yet I found breathing became difficult and left side pain + influx of acid. I found the first chiropractor I could who said that T6 was misaligned and to stop all exercises. Hoping to book a Skype appt after I’ve got weight bearing x rays done, in the meantime is there anything I could do?

    • Hello Rehana,

First, let’s make sure you found the proper chiropractor to get you on the road to healing. Did you ask your chiropractor those 7 questions?
      https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pEHDm749Rd8
If your chiropractor answered yes to at least 5 of the 7 then you know you have a decent chiropractor. Keep in mind if you get treated by this chiropractor and you’re not experiencing any relief from your symptoms or seeing any positive results within in a couple weeks then you might want to consider finding a new doctor. I can also train your chiropractor in my methods and techniques which are extremely effective. Usually my patients are out of pain within the first few days of treatment, off medications within the first 2 weeks of treatment, and we start to see massive structural changes within the first month of care. If your chiropractor is open to learning my method and techniques then we can arrange a skype or phone consultation to discuss treatment protocols and techniques.

In the meantime let’s get you on the road to healing through dietary and lifestyle changes. You may have been exposed to vaccinations, antibiotics, toxins, and possibly many medications over the years, so the first step to healing is always detoxing your body because all of these can negatively effect your organ systems and especially the nervous system.
If you haven’t seen my video on detoxing you can learn all about how to properly detox your body:
      https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4-JrAoBoa2E

The next step is to incorporate proper diet and lifestyle changes to strengthen your immune system and give your body everything it needs to heal properly. Start by switching to an organic, plant based diet with plenty of healthy fats like coconut oil and olive oil. You’ll also want to avoid any packaged or processed food as well as any meats because these are loaded with toxins which directly effect the health and quality of your body. You’ll want to supplement appropriately with vitamin D, vitamin C with bioflavinoids, omega 3 (fish oil), Lugol’s Solution (iodine), and a mineral/amino acid supplement like Body Balance from Life Force. Make sure you get the highest quality supplements you can find because these are vital for improving your health. I also suggest juicing vegetables and blending fruits on a daily basis. Juicing and blending are fantastic because the soluble fiber in veggie juice can be absorbed directly into your blood stream and bind to toxins which may be effecting the health of your body. Juicing/blending also predigests the food so the nutrients/minerals are more easily absorbed by your body. There are also enzymes and natural probiotics in the veggie juice/blended fruit that will radically improve your digestive system.

Exercise is also very important and you can start by simply walking 20 minutes every day, preferably barefoot on dirt, sand, or grass. This might be difficult in the UK at this time of the year so shoes will be fine. Movement is vital to restoring your health so any exercise would be fantastic.

Start implementing those dietary and lifestyle changes and keep me updated on your progress.

      • Dear DR Bergman,

Thank you for the detailed reply. It is much appreciated. The chiropractor I have access to at the moment is a temporary measure as I’m not in my hometown. I have looked into corrective chiropractor’s in Manchester and one of the few I found to be quite cooperative when asking the 7 questions was ‘The Greater Manchester Chiropractic Wellness’ clinic (http://www.chiropractichealthsolutions.co.uk/). One of the doctors even mentioned they had recently been in touch with your clinic so that was a positive sign.
I have to say that most chiropractors’ that I spoke to did not seem keen to take x-rays in particular post x-rays. Could you explain why this might be the case, as I was left confused and feeling like I asked something criminal.
In terms of dietary and lifestyle changes well I’m already an advocate of all things natural and organic. Found time in-between work to put a website together to help share exactly this type of health info. Only use coconut oil, natural butter/ghee vit d/ c/ b complex etc. Also have been juicing for the last 11 years so none of those things are an issue I hope. I believe that my body is just not benefitting due to being compromised for one reason or another. Three years ago I saw a health therapist who uses a highly sophisticated food sensitivity / food intolerance testing machine developed in Germany, called Mora – and sure enough I had leaky gut which made sense as I just wasn’t feeling well. Apart from ‘Body Balance’ is there anything in particular I should look for when buying supplements (apart from having no binders/fillers)?

Once again thank you so much.
        Rehana

        • Hello Rehana,

I’m not really sure why chiropractors would get so offended by the question about post x-rays. I’ve had many people tell me that they had similar experiences when asking the 7 questions. I’m guessing the reason why chiropractors would get offended is because most doctors or healthcare practitioners are extremely set in their ways and they’re not open to learning new or more effective methods of treatment. Most doctors utilize and depend on the knowledge they gained during school and they don’t bother expanding their knowledge or skills as they continue their profession. I always explain to doctors and students that school provide only a basic foundation of knowledge of which you can build upon throughout your lifetime. You always want to look for a doctor that is never done learning and always open to new methods of healing. For example, every day I spend my free time learning and researching about a multitude of subjects concerning the human body and almost every weekend I’m either teaching or learning at a chiropractic seminar.

As for your diet and treating leaky gut you’ll want to supplement correctly with vitamin D, vitamin C with bioflavonoids, omega 3 (fish oil), Lugol’s Solution (iodine), chlorella, spirulina and Body Balance. If you haven’t done so already, make sure you switch to an organic plant based diet with plenty of healthy fats like coconut oil and avoid all processed or packaged food. Juicing vegetables is fantastic for the healing process and I also suggest blending fruits as well to get both soluble and insoluble fiber in your diet. The absolute fastest and best way to correct leaky gut is by stimulating the nerves that supply the digestive system. In many of my videos I’ll bring up before and after x-rays of patients that came in with leaky gut and 90 days later there’s absolutely no signs of leaky gut. So combining the proper diet and lifestyle changes along with corrective chiropractic care are the keys to healing leaky gut.

Keep me updated on your progress and let me know if you have any more questions.

          Dr. B

    Hello Dr. Bergman
First off let me introduce myself. My name is Lisa and I live in Michigan. I’m 35 years old, married with 3 children. I need help!!! I’m suffering extremely bad. All my doctors keep doing is passing me back and forth adding, adjusting and giving me bs stuff to do. And none are helping. How much suffering does one patient have to do till one of my doctor is like let me try something else. Like CARING! Brace yourself!!! I’m suffering from Myasthenia Gravis, Graves Disease, Factor Five Leiden, Fibromyalgia, RLS, Chronic fatigue auto immune dysfunction syndrome, Vitamin B12 & D deficiencies and severe depression(can you blame me). In the past six months my symptoms have did nothing but get way worse. I am fatigue, I have not one once of energy. There is some days I seriously cannot even get out of bed. The only way I sleep is with the Lyrica my doctor has me on. No appetite, my memory is extremely bad and o my goodness my mood is horrible. My family doesn’t even want to be around me. It hurts me dearly but I cannot blame them. My marriage is taking a toll because I have no sex drive or desire. The minute I do get time to myself I just want to be left alone. I have told all my doctors this and they tell me to tell my other doctor that is a issue to discuss with them. Ugh!! And a lot of people have said well duh switch doctors. Believe me I have did that and I ended up and now in the same boat just with different doctors.
Any help or directions you can give me it will be greatly appreciated. I have watched many of your videos and I know nutrition is the key. I know it sounds dumb but I just don’t know where to start. I’m also interested in many of your books and getting ready to order one by one and get to reading : )

Thank you very much in advance. Its doctors like you that let you know there’s a better way of life and doctors that still do care.
    Yours truly
    Lisa

Hello Dr B. I was wondering if you’re familiar with the Melt Methid by Sue Hitzmann and if so what are your thoughts on it?

    • Hi Sarah, the melt method has got some great aspects movement pressure in she talks about the health of the nervous system. Make sure that you get your nervous system checked by a corrective chiropractor first to assure that all the movements in that melt method are appropriate for you if you’re missing a curve in your neck then you shouldn’t be putting your chin to your chest as in some of her exercise.

  8. Hello Dr. Bergman its Dallas. I hope all is well. I so miss your treatments. I have not been able to find a chiropractor here. It seems like my symptoms are returning. One of the bones under my neck popped back out while the other sank in. My right arm is more forward than the left.I am extremity tried my neck and mid back is hurting. Should I continue the exercises? I am waiting for my inversion table and exercise bike to arrive in the mail. Please help!!! Thank you.

    • Hi Dallas, Do the neck curve exercises that we gave you. You made some great progress, make sure that you’re getting healthy amount of veggie juice and omega3s. That will cause anti-inflammatory response, and your body will get better. The bones don’t fall in and out of place, The closer you get them to normal the more they want to stay.

      Dr B

      • Thank you for your response. I apologize for the same message twice. I did not think the first message went through. I noticed after doing this backwards stretch that I looked different. How much and what kind of omega 3s do you recommend? I will continue to do the exercises. Thank you so much for your help!!!

  10. How do I get set up to get into the forums?

  11. Hi, hate to bother you with this, but is there a time delay between setting up a membership on the site and being able to login to the forums? I have tried logging in to the forums, but I keep getting an error that says I am not a member. I have tried resetting my password using both my user name and email that I signed up with, but that doesn’t work either. It says I am not a member.

    Thanks,
    Jason

    • Hi Jason,
Apologize for the delay. The forum is not automatically connected to the site so we have to add you in manually. I will add you in and send you an email on how to access the forum. It is setup like this because we originally planned on transferring everyone to the forum…because it has much more information, but have had some technical glitches so we are keeping both active for now.

  12. Rhiannon Chaffer1 says:

    Hi Dr. B,

I can’t find any info on polycystic ovaries and how to heal PCOS on here. Would you be able to do a talk on this?
My PCOS is complicated by generalised anxiety and ME/CFS/Fibromyalgia and I’m confused as to whether I should be taking the oestrogen pill for the PCOS. My testosterone levels are apparently quite high, but Dr Myhill in the UK advises against M.E./CFS sufferers taking ‘The Pill’, as I’m sure you probably do too!

I’m concerned that my hormone imbalance is causing a lot of my anxiety and irratic behaviour,

    Please help!

    Thanks,
    Rhiannon, Bristol UK

  13. Thanks for your reply Dr. B.
We live in Canada in a fairly remote part of Northwest Ontario.
This is a place where doctors know their drugs and chiropractors are just chiropractors.
It is a beautiful place to live but you better stay healthy.
My best bet is probably to come and see you.
To get the poison from the vaccinations out of my two older boys system has been on my mind for a while. My youngest son was born at home, had no vaccinations and never been on antibiotics.
He has Down Syndrome and despite the statistics ( people with Down Syndrome have compromised Immune system and should therefore have all vaccinations, flu shots, and who knows what else)
in his 6 years of age he has yet to get really sick.
Compared to his older brothers whose flu symptoms are can be quite severe and prolonged.
How would I go about to detoxify them from vaccinations?
My goal is to somehow find the time and the resources for my whole family to come and see you.
It’s about time we have a real doctor in our life.
    Happy Mother’s Day, Dr. B

    • Hi Moni, There is a great Chiropractor in Toronto who may know of a good Chiropractor close to you, http://www.turnerwellness.com/ to help your sons we need to get their nervous systems checked by a corrective Chiropractor and detox their system and heal the gut. have them go gluten and dairy free and eliminate any soy, corn, or flax, give them a healthy amount of coconut oil and water, and no packaged foods, they should be eating lots of fresh veggies , fruits, and healthy potatoes (the small colored ones) and raw chocolate. They will get better, I see this a lot and kids usually recover fast.
I will help in any way I can
      Dr B

      • Thank you for your time and knowledge.
I will try and see if I have any luck with finding a corrective chiropractor closer by.

        • Ask the 7 questions below, If they answer at least 5 with a YES, then they are good to go.
          1. Do you take x-rays?
          2. Do you get spinal listings off of the x-rays? ( some Doctors only take x-rays because they can bill for them)
          3. Is your goal to restore normal function or only symptom relief? (Most Doctors: MD’s, DC’s, Physical therapists treat only symptoms and that is NOT Corrective care)
          4. Do you take post x-rays to document the structural changes made? (This is the only way to show correction)
          5. Are you familiar with repairing disc injuries? (this requires a high level of skill)
          6. Do you work with post spinal surgery patients? (this requires a high level of skill )
          7. Do you work with Pediatrics and the Elderly? (this requires very specific techniques)

  14. Hello Dr. Bergman
Thank you for sharing all your knowledge with the rest of us. To me the Western medical world never felt right, so my family and I have never been a big part of it. Thanks to you I know now why. And it all makes sense!
We are still dealing with a few health issues. One,my 12 year old son is dealing with.
He is grinding his teeth at night and has been for a few years.
Any ideas where to look at ?
Thank you so much for all your efforts to “enlighten” us.
    Moni

    • Hi Moni, teeth grinding is caused by stress, either physical/chemical or emotional stress, the best place to start is to get him to a corrective Chiropractor to get his nervous system checked then check his diet, and he may need some detoxing if he had vaccinations or any antibiotics in his life
I will help in any way I can

      Dr. B

  15. A Taylor says:

Dear Doctor Bergman. My mother sadly passed away in April 2012. I am trying to establish any negligence rom her medical records. Can you suggest what may have compromised her health based on the following facts:

My mother was said to have the following health concerns: type 2 diabetes, right pulmonary hypertension with ventricular dialation, persistent atrial fibrillation, glaucoma, cataracts and previous PR bleed when taking Warfarin (warfarin medication was stopped)
In March 2012 she complained of swelling on lower legs this was ‘diagnosed’ as pitting oedema. It was noted that the risperidone can cause leg Oedema.

On 6/3/12 – sodium levels reported to be 137, potassium 3.7 urea 5.4 and creatinine 99. At this time her water tablets had restarted to “help with her leg swelling “.

This was her daily concoction of medication:
    Digoxin 375mcg daily
    Atenolol 75mg daily
    Amlodipine 5mg daily
    Losartan 50mg daily
    Aspirin EC 75mg daily
    Bendeoflumethazide 2,5mg daily
    Ramipril 1.25mg daily
    Furosemide 20mg daily
    Brimodine eye drops twice daily
Binatoprost eye drops nocte and dorzolamide + timolol eye drops twice daily

Risperidone 0.5mg daily from 3/12/11 – increased to 1mg daily from 6/12/11. Increased again 2mg on 7/2/2012. Advised to continue taking risperidone for at least 6-9 mths. Is it likely that this antipsychotic medication could cause cardiac death from arrhythmia
Haemoflobin level reported to be 9.5 and a low iron level of 9.2.

Please note, she was described by family members to be behaving strangely (psychotic episode) since her routine cataract surgery (under local anaesthetic ).

Since the cataract operation she started showing signs of ‘psychotic behaviour ‘, such as seeing blue and seeing things hanging down from ceiling – paranoid behaviour such as thinking people were plotting against her. I would be keen to know your interpretation of all I’ve collated above – in particular there is some suggestion from the coroner report of a raised QT being linked to sudden cardiac death. I am not medically trained and so a lot of this information escapes me, therefore, I would deeply appreciate your medical opinions

    • Hi A, My heart goes out to you for your loss I lost my mom 4 years ago, the sad truth when trying to assign blame with the insane medical care that was done to your mom is that it was probably all done according to the “standards of care” which means the medical system has certain protocols they do given the diagnosis and even if the patient dies they can’t be sued because they followed the correct “standards of care” given the diagnosis. It should be criminal but it more than likely is not. I would contact an attorney who is skilled in this area but they medical system is hard to place blame on when they over medicate.
      Dr B

  16. Larry May says:

Awesome….fantastic. Read between the lines! Thank you!,,,, 71 year old male, active, healthy, bit over weight. Diagnosed with A Fib 2years ago. Am in continual A Fib, but unaware of it. They put me on Xarelto, but I want to stop. Any advice to correct A Fib? You recommended IF (intermittent fasting) to an over weight patient – I practice that as well as the Master Cleanse once a year. Love your weight training ideas of heavy weight, very slow reps and 1set. Can toast the full body workout in 30 minutes. Great! Thoughts on HIIT. I also add some 20/40 sessions on the rowing machine. Do you know any Corrective Chiropractors in the Lincoln, NE area. I need a ‘health care’ practioner as a partner. I have your 7 questions to ask. Again, muchas gracias para todos. I’d appreciate any thoughts on the above questions/comments.

    • Hi Larry, I don’t know of any corrective Chiropractors in your area but those 7 questions will help you get to a good one, the Afib will be coming form your upper thoracic area and your cervical spine, usually that resolves very quickly with accurate care, your workout routine is great, and your weight may start to reduce when you get the pressure off of your nervous system
      Dr B

  17. karen guss says:

I believe my question didnt post so I’m gonna ask again.

My 6 yr old was diagnose with strep throat last night. He’s been running a high fever for about 5 days. It seem like it went away by the am and creeped back up by late afternoo . He spit up some blood last night so I took him to the er. They prescribed cefdinir and antibotics. From my training with you I’m hesitant on giving it to him.
I don’t want him to susuffer any longer though. My chiropractor here had me give him vitimin c, aloe mannan-fx and vitiman d. Which I’ve been given all week. Today I have him some probotics.and a concoction of honey, raw garlic, and a touch of cayenne pepper. The er said if I let his strep go without the antibotics it can cause heart issues. Please advise me on what to do please.

    • Hi Karen, Your taking the best approach with your son by following your Chiropractors advice, the most common type of strep is antibiotic resistant so the garlic, honey, mixture I would recommend also make sure he gets in a hot bath a few times a day because viruses and bacteria die at high temperatures that is one of the benefits of fevers, also use a warm moist heat on his throat this will directly help the throat infection, the medical doctors are not aware of the risks and ineffectiveness of the antibiotics and totally not aware of the natural effective therapies that you are using, he will get better fast
Let me know how he is doing
      Dr B

  18. Nancy Figueroa says:

Dear Dr. Bergman thanks for the commets you sent concerning the numbness in my finger are you saying that I need a neck adjustment from a corrective Chiropractor that can work with my nervous system by knowing how to do the weight bering x-ray and the other six question you mentioned? I need to know what’s going on with my fingers Thanks. Nancy

    • Hi Nancy, Yep you need to get checked by a corrective Chiropractor and if they see nerve pressure that is where your finger symptoms are coming from, then they will also look for forward head carriage and muscle imbalance of your fore arm,
      You will get better
      Dr B

  19. Nancy Figueroa says:

HI Dr. Bergmam, I have tried to deal with this numbness in my left fingers tip for a while now. What will be a good protocol to correct this condition? or
could you recomend a good corrective chiropractor in or near Grand Rapids, MI. How can I regulate this Blood pressure problem, that comes with the numbness on my fingers tip and on my tongue. Thank You. Nancy Figueroa

    • Hi Nancy, I don’t know of a good Chiropractor in MI but here is a list of questions to ask around to find one:
      Questions for a Good Chiropractor

      7. Can you reverse arthritis?
if you get a “yes” to at least 5 of them then you have a good one
      Dr B

  20. Karen Warren says:

Hi Dr Bergman, could I have a copy of the DPT shot page 11 that you talk about in the Vaccine you tube please.

what excuse can I use to the government to not get vaccinated when it is insisted.
what religion can I turn to, to protect myself
    Thanks
    Karen

  21. laszlo halmagyi says:

Hi Dr.Bergman have watched you on utube. Need some help , had a bad heart attack, and had a stint put in they say I may need 2 more. Have worn a Zoll life vest for 3.5 months. Heart EF is 20. They want to put in a defibulator. This has me worried ,and all the pills I’m taking. Can you suggest anything?
    Drugs I take / Effient / carvedilol / spironolact / pravastatin…

    • Hi Laszlo, You have to get your nervous system checked by a corrective Chiropractor as soon as possible, we have to clean your blood and heal your gut in order to heal your heart and with the stent that means all of your arteries are involved so this is a systemic problem not a heart issue, your corrective Chiropractor will guide you about your meds because has you get healthy you won’t need all of the drugs your taking
Let me know how your doing
      Dr B

  22. tried ordering the Doulton water filters you recommend but when I tried calling all morning today, nobody picked up. They put you on hold briefly, then hang up – wth!

    Hi Dr John,
Which vegetables and fruit do you suggest to juice & which to blend??

Do you also have some recipes, I seem to have every problem you talk about on your videos.
    Especially banana ice cream.
    Thanks
    Karen

    • Hi Karen check out our juicing and blending video’s also try cutting the celery in 2 inch pieces and juice a carrot after or some hard vegetable to clean the teeth, and check out our handout for the juicing recipes under “healthy diets and recipes” on the member handouts of the members section

and how do I choose a good chiropractor.

      • Karen Warren says:

Hi Dr Bergman, I took your advise and wrote to all the Chiropractors I could find in South Australia. I think I found one, He x-rayd me and diagnosed an unstable pelvis. I have had 2 treatments, he is being gentle with me because I am in a lot of pain.
My question is can I expect more pain on the way to getting better?
Before my treatment I got used to how to move and rest so there was little pain. Now after, for the last 4 days I am in constant severe pain. I don’t know whether to continue or not. I will talk to him at the next treatment.
        Thanks Karen

        • Hi Karen, Different pain or discomfort is common with spinal correction, you should also be given some supportive exercises, and your Chiropractor doesn’t need to go “gentle” he needs to be effective, on acute and chronic pain cases as a Chiropractor getting the pressure off of the nervous system is the fastest way to get you back to health. I would talk with your Chiropractor and he maybe able to change his protocols but tell him to not go “gentle” tell him to get you better fast!!
          Merry Christmas
          Dr B
