    Hi Dr Bergman

Hope you had amazing Christmas and have a great new year, you guys are amazing

Thanks again for all your help I got new x-rays they are looking even better, reversing arthritis

Just have a question about my son he’s just tuned one on the 13th Dec, his balls haven’t dropped yet they ones come down a little, the western Docs are saying he may need surgery to pull them down. Otherwise he will be infertile later your thoughts?

Is there anything I can do to help them come down?

he sees the chiro every few weeks

you helped me Reverse Arthritis and walk again,

so thought there might be something we could do, operations can risky

    • Your sons issue with his balls not “dropping” is often referred to as undescended testicles or cryptorchidism. First a little background on the testicles. As a boy is developing in the mother’s womb, the testicles form inside the abdominal cavity. Just before birth they drop through holes in the abdomen into the scrotum. The descent might take a few weeks to complete, but normally by twelve weeks after birth, the testicles are in the scrotum. In about 1 out of 100 births the testicles don’t fully descend into the scrotum or take longer than usual to descend. During childhood, a boy’s testicles can move back up into the abdominal wall, but they usually descend again. When puberty is reached, the testicles grow and no longer are able to fit into the opening of the abdomen. Initially the testicles are up near the abdomen, but as the scrotum develops, the cord on which the testicles hang lengthens and the testicles hang loosely below the penis.

So the most important thing to keep in mind is that this entire process is regulated by hormones, especially testosterone. If you’re looking for natural alternatives to surgery, the best option would be to focus on restoring normal hormone production and regulation. If your son has been exposed to toxins like vaccines, medications, antibiotics, toxic food, or endocrine disrupting chemicals like BPA in plastics, then these will all be important things to eliminate. Focus on giving your child everything he needs for proper hormone production and regulation, which will include a healthy organic, plant based diet with plenty health fats like coconut oil and olive oil.

If you give me a little more info about your son’s diet, lifestyle, and medical history I might be able to identify where other possible problems might be. For example, was it natural birth or hospital birth? Was he was vaccinated? Was he on formula or breastfed? What’s his diet like right now?

Thankyou so much Dr Bergman for my personalised response!!!! I really appreciate the list of specific foods and nutrients beneficial to my treatment. That’s a great starting point! I have been trying to work on the gut, but hadnt incorporated fermented foods in yet, so i will rewatch those videos . What do you think of yoghurt or kefir as a source?? I also checked out your video on lymes disease. It was excellent!!!! Whilst i found doxcycline extremely helpful for me , i can certainly say there were some antibiotics that were extremely troublesome . One called Ciprofloxacin gave me tendon damage and bone pain for many years. You had also mentioned you had never come across scenarios of patients that got lymes from a vaccine. I came across a lady in melbourne that contracted the bacteria from a lymes vaccine she got whilst living in russia. She had many years of neurological lyme symptoms before detecting the lyme bacteria, but she did eventually get better with ozone treatment. In regards to your response, I do have just two questions, the Lugols solution i have is 10% potassium iodide +5% iodine in a 50ml bottle. Is that solution strength ok to start off with. Additionally, should i put the iodine on my hand or take a drop in a little water. Looking forward to your reply and thankyou so much for your assistance. I will hopefully book a skype consult in the not too distant future.

    Kind Regards

    Cris from Australia

    • Yes, yogurt and kefir would be fantastic sources of healthy bacteria, but keep in mind most brands will actually pasteurize their products to stop the fermenting process. So the best solution would be to make your own yogurt and kefir. My favorite way to do this is to buy raw milk and let it sit out for about 1-2 days until it begins to sour and you basically have delicious homemade kefir. This only works with raw dairy so don’t try this with pasteurized or homogenized milk.

For the lugol’s solution, I believe this is the average ratio for most brands. Usually the recommend dosage is 2 drops (just the drops, not the full dropper) in a glass of water.

Let me know if you have any more questions.

  3. Dear Dr Bergman, I would just like to say im your biggest fan. Ive watched hundred of your youtube videos and believe you are a pioneer for the future of medicine. I have some questions regarding a medical condition. i have been taking a SSRI called cipramil for 20 years for panic disorder, which i have since now gone off. Four years ago i was diagnosed with lymes/autoimmune disease which seemed to escalate the panic anxiety symptoms. So whilst lymes disease is not recognised in australia they diagnose me as having srogrens with fibromyalgia. I have a few questions regarding the information in your videos. I would believe i suffer from adrenal fatigue due to the amount of panic attacks as my body is constantly in a sympathetic state. I should advise i do regularly have chiropractic care. Its just tweaking the nutrition. I did the buy the lugols iodine solution as suggested from your videos and dr mikes, but was advised by a naturopath here that 12.5 mg, or two drops of lugols iodine was too much. The recommended dose here in australia is about 300mcg. What do you think is a good starting point dosage to balance the thyroid.

Secondly, i have been studying nutrition for a long time, and since having autoimmune/lyme disease ive been trying to learn about the human body on the cellullar level. Ive been studying nutrient therapy by Dr walsh, i believe his work is based on carl pfeiffer and Abrahm Hoffer. There research recognises psychiatric illness is based on nutrient deficiencies, in similarity to your talks. I was very intrigued in one of your videos where you mentioned agoraphobia is based upon a vitamin b3 deficiency. In addition your youtube video on psychiatric illness also gives reference to b3 for anxiety. I am keen to try vitamin b3, but in dr walshs work he advised that vitamin b3 is a deactylase inhibitor , an enzyme which knocks dopamine activity. Which i know is why b3 is great for schizophrenics as found by Abram hoffer. In the role of epigenetics dr walsh stated that serotonin is dependant on enzymes such as acetylases, deacetylases, methylases and demathylases. If b3 inhibits this enzyme deacetylase would this have a negative effect on serotonin, and thus anxiety. Could you please advise. I do believe my anxiety is somewhat elevated since removing the ssri but i believe that is most likely due to an increased need for a magnesium /calcium supplementation. Can you recommend a good mineral supplement or any other supplements for this condition. I also suffer from severe facial nerve pain from the lymes disease, and numbness pins and needles in the head and face. I have since tried japanese knotweed, as you recommended it is helpful for numbess and i am finding it helpful. Is there is anything lse you can recommend for facial pain, pins and needles, painful nerve endings etc. I look forward to your reply.

    King Regards

    Cris from Australia

    • Hello Cris,

I actually have a video coming soon that explains everything you need to know about Lyme disease. This video should be uploaded either today or tomorrow so make sure you check that out to learn about all the effective natural solutions for this disease.

First, keep in mind that whenever panic attacks or anxiety occur this is a sign that there’s an underlying problem with hormone regulation including the “feel good” hormone, serotonin. Since 90% of your body’s serotonin is produced in your digestive system, you can start by improving the function of your digestive system. And as you’ve probably learned from my videos a healthy microflora is absolutely necessary for proper function of your digestive system. Your microflora is also responsible for so many different functions in your body including:
      -Digestion and absorption of carbohydrates
      -Production of vitamins
      -Absorption of minerals
      -Elimination of toxins
-Distinguish between pathogens and non-harmful antigens
      -Keep harmful bacteria under control
-Aid in production of antibodies to pathogens
-Provide support to the Immune System

So basically, you can consume all the healthy food and supplements in the world, but if you don’t have a healthy microflora they won’t have any effect on your body. Obviously probiotics will be essential to restoring your microflora, but what would be even better than a probiotic supplement would be to consume properly fermented foods. One spoonful of fermented foods like sauerkraut contain more probiotics than an entire bottle of probiotic supplements. You can learn more about this in the video below:
      https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TiigsFnNDuQ

I also suggest juicing vegetables and blending fruits on a daily basis. Juicing and blending are fantastic because the soluble fiber in veggie juice can be absorbed directly into your bloodstream and bind to toxins which may be affecting the health of your body. Juicing/blending also pre-digests the food so the nutrients/minerals are more easily absorbed by your body. There are also enzymes and natural probiotics in the veggie juice/blended fruit that will radically improve your digestive system.
Here’s detailed video about juicing if you’d like to learn more:
      https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=INrXthOFQtU

Now you mentioned several supplements, but it’s important to keep in mind that supplements aren’t actually that vital to the healing process. The only reason I recommend supplements is because it’s extremely difficult to get all the nutrients your body requires just from food. The best option would be to invest in high quality organically grown food because your body’s absorption and utilization of these nutrients will always be better by incorporating the foods that contain them into your diet rather than a supplement.

So if you’re getting proper daily sun exposure you don’t need to take a vitamin D3 supplement. If you’re consuming plenty of vitamin C rich food you don’t need to take a vitamin C supplement. If you’re consuming healthy wild caught fish like sardines, mackerel, or anchovies you don’t need to take an omega 3 supplement. If you’re consuming sea vegetables like kelp you don’t need iodine supplements. Chlorella and Spirulina are just fantastic superfoods that you’ll want to always include in your diet. And if you have a diet rich with minerals you don’t need to take a mineral/amino acid supplement.

As you can see it’s often much easier to just supplement unless you have access to all these food sources.

The only supplements I recommend are vitamin D3, vitamin C with bioflavonoids, omega 3 (fish oil), Lugol’s Solution (iodine), chlorella, spirulina and a mineral/amino acid supplement like Body Balance from Life Force. The reason these supplements are necessary is because these are all very difficult to get through dietary sources especially vitamin D and Omega 3.

Now the dosage of all these supplements will be different for every single person. I suggest starting with the lowest recommended daily dosage and increasing it slowly over time. For example, for Lugol’s iodine the recommended daily dosage is 2 drops in a glass of water. Some doctors recommend less and many doctors recommend much more than this. I recommend starting with the lowest dosage and increasing it slowly over time. No doctor can tell you what is appropriate in terms of dosage because they have no idea what your body’s rate of absorption and utilization will be. Also, keep in mind that all these nutrients work together so it’s very difficult to use only one supplement to treat a disease. For example, Tyrosine, selenium, vitamins A and D, zinc, B vitamins, and omega-3 fats are all needed in order to utilize iodine properly.

Also, you mentioned vitamin B3 (Niacin). Instead of taking a supplement for this, you can start incorporating foods that contain vitamin B3 such as:
      1) Turkey
      2) Chicken breast
      3) Peanuts
      4) Mushrooms
      5) Liver
      6) Tuna
      7) Green peas
      8) Grass-fed Beef

That should be enough information to get you started. Let me know if you have any questions.

      Dr. B

    Hi Dr. Bergman,

i have one question which is on my mind for over four to five years. Since then i noticed a noise (crepitation) in both of my knees, especially when there is silence and i´m walking up the stairs.
It´s only this disturbing noise, no pain, no discomfort and i assume full range of motion.
Some facts about me: I´m 35 years old, 6,1 feet tall, 172 pounds heavy and i´m into running (three to four times a week). In addition to this i do stretching exercises and strength training.
So far i did not take any medications at all, i´m into veggie juicing and “clean” eating. I supported my regime with a daily dose of MSM (up to 10g), Glucosamine (4g) and Chondroitin (4g).
Are there any recommendations you can give to me?

Best regards & please excuse my bad english

    Sebastian from Germany

    • Hello Sebastian,

I replied to this same posting on the page titled “Questions for Dr. Bergman”. Here’s my response:

First of all, crepitation could be a sign of the start of some arthritic changes in your knees which would be perfectly normal for someone that has abused their knees like you have over the years. The good news is that arthritis can be reversed. To understand how arthritis can reversed you first have to understand why it develops in the first place. Arthritic bone changes take years to develop and they only develop in response to 3 things: an injury/trauma to the joint, improper biomechanics (movement) of the joint or lack of proper nutrients. Arthritis is a natural response of the body to either protect the joint from further injury or to adapt to new structural changes occurring in the body.

So the first and most important key to reversing arthritis, especially in the knees is to find a corrective chiropractor that can make sure there aren’t any underlying issues in your spine and lower extremities that are causing problems with your knees. Keep in mind that this is extremely important because any spinal issues will alter nerve supply to your lower extremities which will negatively affect how everything functions. For example, if the nerves to the feet are compromised (which originate from the lumbar spine) then you’ll have a weakness of the intrinsic muscles of the feet. This causes flattening of the feet which radically alters your gait (how you walk). Over time this will cause all sorts of problems in your lower extremities especially arthritis in the knees. So chiropractic care is extremely important.

Now one of the most beneficial exercises for reversing arthritis in the knees is the one demonstrated in this video:
      https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wP1Vv5Bzw_Q

The stretches in this video will also be very beneficial for improving knee function:
      https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0_tAQVxlmTA

All of this combined with a healthy diet will keep your knees working great for the rest of your life.

Hello Dr. B, It’s Raul from Ocala, FL. I want to ask, what do you think of wheat-grass?

    • Hello Raul,

Wheat grass juice is a fantastic source of minerals, vitamins, and protein so it’s great for promoting healing and optimal health, but keep in mind that this is just one of many fantastic nutrients that your body needs in order to function properly. I prefer to mix wheat grass in with my morning juice along with carrots, celery, beets, spinach, and kale.

  6. Hi Dr. B,

I have a friend ( 62 yr old female) who was diagnosed with an essential tremor when she was 30. It has progressed since then and she takes meds for it….The doc says it could progress into Parkinson’s (35% chance). She also has some acid reflux issues and pain/inflammation in her abdominal wall. Any ideas? Thoughts on root cause of tremor?
    Thanks! You’re the MAN!

    • Hello Kate,

As I’ve explained in many of my videos, Parkinson’s Disease is caused by two main factors, neurotoxins which damage the nervous system and a decreased nerve supply from altered structure or movement of the spine. The tremor she has is actually the body attempting to get more stimulation and input to the brain. Once proper nerve flow is restored her body will be able to properly communicate with itself and she won’t have any tremors. So the solution would be to find a corrective chiropractor that can restore the normal structure and biomechanics of the spine and stimulate the nervous system to promote healing and normal function.

As for her acid reflux, she can start the healing process by switching to an organic plant based diet with plenty of healthy fats like coconut oil and olive oil. She should also be juicing vegetables and blending fruits every day because this predigests the food making absorption of nutrients much easier on the digestive system. Also, she needs to be drinking at least 50% of her body weight in ounces, so a 200lb person will need 100 ounces of water on a daily basis. Drinking proper amounts of water every day will help tremendously with the GERD symptoms and improve digestive function, however, make sure she avoids drinking any fluids 30 minutes before, during, or 30 minutes after a meal as this will dilute the stomach acid and cause improper digestion of food.

The most important part of reversing GERD is to regain control of the lower esophageal sphincter which controls acid reflux into the esophagus. There may be nerve interference or impingement involving the nerves that supply this sphincter. She may also be in a sympathetic dominant state where her sympathetic nervous system is constantly activated. This is also known as the “fight or flight” response which shuts down blood supply and function to the digestive system. There are 3 stressors that can cause sympathetic activation of the Autonomic nervous system which are Chemical, Physical, or Emotional stress. The body responds exactly the same to these stressors as a survival mechanism. If she’s constantly being exposed to these stressors on a daily basis, she’ll eventually end up with many issues such as GERD and other chronic diseases/illnesses. The key here is to activate the Parasympathetic nervous system which controls the digestive system and repair/healing process. A proper diet and lifestyle will take care of the Chemical and Emotional stress, however, in order to properly simulate those nerves that supply the Esophageal sphincter she’ll need to get her nervous system checked by a corrective chiropractor.

She can use these 7 questions to find the best possible chiropractor in her area. If they answer at least 5 with a YES, then she can be sure she found a decent chiropractor.

      1. Do you take x-rays? (essential to find the subluxations)
      2. Do you get listings off of x-rays? (shows where to adjust)
      3. Do you take post x-rays to document structural changes made?
      4. Are your treatment goals to reshape and restore the natural curves?
      5. Are you familiar with correcting disc injuries?
      6. Do you work on post surgical patients?
      7. Can you reverse arthritis?

Let me know if you or your friend have any questions.

  7. Catherine Fry says:

Hello! So excited to be a part of this group! After learning so much from Dr. Bergman’s videos, I feel so knowledgeable about what I need to do to regenerate my body. Stopped taking blood pressure meds and am trying to get off thyroid meds for Hashimoto’s. In one of the videos Dr. Bergman advised that those with Hashimoto’s shouldn’t start taking iodine until their guts are healed. How do you know when your gut is sufficiently healed in order to start on some iodine supplementation? Have cut out gluten, sugar, dairy and commercial animal products, am juicing all the time and currently doing a modified cleanse with liquid bentonite and psillium.

Also regarding supplementation, in one video Dr. Bergman advised the office would be carrying a certain brand of digestive enzymes. Can you please let me know what brand is best? I understand they need to be raw, vegan and complete, but would like to know what brand you recommend.

I know you recommend the body balance liquid minerals, but am also curious about the best vitamin C supplement.

Lastly, it took me four tries but I finally found a true corrective chiropractor and the difference between what the other three were doing and what he’s doing is like night and day! I’m now a part of the process and he gives me more and more exercises all the time to do daily and I’m really starting to feel the results. Just curious what you think of the idealspine.com site (Chiropractic BioPhysics). He’s listed on that site and it seems like it might be a good place for people to start when looking for a true corrective chiropractor. Who knew it would be so very hard to find one?

Thanks to Dr. Bergman for all of the amazing information he gives us all. People tell me that I’m like a religious zealot now when it comes to my spreading of info about what it takes to be truly healthy. The Gospel according to Dr. Bergman I say!

    Cathy Fry

    • Hello Cathy,

A good indication of gut health is having 2-3 bowel movements per day and an absence of symptoms like gas, diarrhea, or any other stool formation problems. Also, if you have any intolerances or allergies this is a major sign of an unhealthy gut, so an absence of allergies or food intolerances would be a good indication of gut health.

As for enzymes, after much research we’ve found that a healthy diet along with juicing vegetables and blending fruits is the best way to ensure proper enzyme intake. The enzymes in raw produce are more potent and better utilized by the body than any supplement you’ll be able to find. This combined with fermented food to support a healthy microflora with be fantastic for your digestive system as well as overall health.

I’m so glad you found a corrective chiropractor. Chiropractic biophysics is a fantastic technique which I use all the time. I disagree with some of their techniques and I use modified versions of their techniques but overall this is a fantastic technique that’s always focused on spinal correction.

Let me know if you have any more questions,

      Dr. B

  10. Hi Dr. B-
I have a friend (60 year old otherwise healthy female) who just got diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). She’s in Seattle at the Cancer Center and starting chemo tomorrow. What else can she be doing? The prognosis isn’t great :(!

    • Hello Kate,

First of all, I would tell your friend that chemotherapy is extremely damaging to the body and it never works. The cancer always “comes back” after a certain amount of time. And then you can explain the following to your friend:

It’s important to realize that all cancers are not isolated to one part of the body. Cancer is always a systemic problem, but what confuses doctors and people is that fact that cancer manifests in one area or organ of the body first. Then when it appears in a different area, they say the cancer has “spread”. This is completely false and if you understand the mechanism of cancer you can understand the solution.

Cancer is not genetic, in fact, humans kill an average of a billion (Yes, a Billion!) cells every single day, Ten thousand of which are actually cancer cells.. It’s a normal part of the physiological process because it makes room in your body for new cells to be created. Your body is constantly regenerating itself and wants to get rid of these “cancer” cells. And “cancer” cells are nothing more than old cells that haven’t been recycled yet. So you’re probably wondering why certain people develop cancer. People develop cancer either from a toxic diet/lifestyle/environment or from a deficiency of nutrients needed to support the normal process of creating new cells.

So if getting rid of a billion cells a day isn’t enough, we have to get rid of more “Cancer” cells. And on top of that, we need to create more cells now to replace all those cells the body is going to kill. This is the basis for all natural cancer therapies….. increase the body’s ability to get rid of “cancer” cells and increase the body’s ability to build new healthy cells.

One of my favorites is the Gerson Therapy… they’ve been curing cancer for over 70 years. Their method is simple, flood the body with nutrients, strengthen the immune system, and detox the body. The therapy lasts for at least 1 or 2 weeks at their clinic but you can also do it from the comfort of your home. The therapy involves juicing every single day throughout the day, doing regular hydro-colonics and coffee enemas which draw out toxins from the body. If you get their book, it goes into detail on what exactly to juice everyday throughout the day. Like I said they’ve been curing cancer for 70 years and they have it down to an exact science. Check out their books and videos… this one is my favorite:http://store.gerson.org/store/Books/Healing-the-Gerson-Way.html

  11. Hi Dr Bergman, I wrote you from Holland on May 6. Thanks again for your kind reply:

My husband, Kees: (85) atrial fibrillation (beta blockers, lack of energy), eczema since childhood, scoliosis, restless legs, loss of hearing, etc.

Myself: (78) Neck pain, osteoarthritis both knees/hands, digestion problems, loss of weight, no energy, loss of balance, etc. Doing hot packs/calf stretches and juicing almost daily. Water, can’t drink too much. Seem to have an overactive bladder.

Have come to the conclusion that paying you a visit would be the only solution, especially for me since I don’t feel okay. But first, could you kindly inform me what would be the cost for two weeks – exams, treatment, etc – for my husband, myself and also for our daughter Stella (41), who would eventually be coming with us. And would two weeks be enough?. Many thanks, Dr. Bergman.

    Nora

    • Hello Nora,

First of all, it’s always best to find a chiropractor in your area to get you on the road to healing. You can use these 7 questions to find the best possible chiropractor:

If you can make it to my clinic in Huntington Beach, California I’ll be able to treat you personally and get your body functioning optimally again. I’ve had many patients travel from around the world to get treatment at my clinic and they’ve all had amazing results. Generally, it takes about 90 days to get the corrections in the spine and nervous system your body needs to heal and function properly, however, we can condense the length of treatment into a couple weeks by increasing the frequency of treatments. For example, in 90 days we would normally do 3-4 treatments per week, but for our long distance patients we would do 3-4 treatments per day. With these special treatment protocols we see amazing results in a very short amount of time. Typically we’re able to get these patients out of pain and a reduction of symptoms within 2 days, off all medications within a week, and we see massive structural changes in the spine within 4 weeks. So 4 weeks of treatment would be best, however, I understand that not everyone can arrange their schedule to take this much time off. Obviously the longer you stay, the more corrections we’ll be able to achieve.

It’s $129 dollars for the new patient exam, x-rays, and report of findings which includes your first adjustment. $3,600 will cover the cost of treatment for you, your wife and your family if they’ll be coming as well. The average recommendation is usually 60 adjustments spread out over 4 weeks. As for accommodation during your stay, places range from $100 to $400 per night at a hotel or you may find a deal at http://www.airbnb.com. When you know the exact dates that you’ll be coming you can give my office a call and we might be able to arrange affordable accommodation for you with one of our contacts in the area.
Here’s my office website and contact info, feel free to call my office and my wonderful staff will help you in any way they can:

      http://bergmanchiropractic.com/

      714-962-5891

For my long distance patients I always suggest an online consultation before you make the journey over to my clinic so we can discuss the details of your case and our treatment protocols. Another benefit of the online consultation is that I can give you specific exercises to start correcting the structural/biomechanical problems in the spine as well as a list of proper diet and lifestyle changes you can start implementing now to start healing the body immediately.

To schedule an online consultation you can go to owners-guide.com or use the link below and find the “Out of Towner Special” which will include the cost of the new patient exam:

      https://www.owners-guide.com/online-consultation/

After you get treatment at my clinic we’ll have corrected the structural and biomechanical issues in your spine so if you can find a decent chiropractor in your area to continue care to maintain these structural changes that would be great.

Let me know if you have any questions, I’ll help in any way I can.

  12. Hi Dr. B,
I started to get seasonal allergies about 5 years ago due to stress (emotional, physical etc). I have worked to restore cervical curve with corrective chiro, i have done many gut healing protocols, i have done candida cleanses/diets, I have done emotional work/ Dr Sarno subconscious stuff, I have taken stuff to boost immune system, I’ve worked on adrenals, etc… I have tried it all! I recently saw a Natupath with 5 PHd’s- who says that it has to do with my thymus and wants me to take a thymus glandular for one month to reset T cells. He says it works wonders for allergies. Any thoughts?

    • Hello Kate,

The thymus is definitely an important part of the immune system and taking steps to improving function of the thymus can help tremendously with allergies. It’s also important to keep in mind that your microflora is the most important part of your immune system. So if you’ve been exposed to antibiotics or processed food you’ll need to work on strengthening your microflora as much as possible with probiotics and fermented foods. Bacteria in your body outnumber your cells, 10 to 1 and viruses in your body outnumber your bacteria 10 to 1. Many scientists and doctors believe that as much as 50% of your body is actually made up of viruses and around 30% is made up of bacteria so they both play an important role in the function and health of your function.

I’d recommend incorporating as much fermented foods as you can such as Kefir, Kombucha, Sauerkraut, Pickles, and Miso which will help to restore balance to your microflora and strengthen your immune system. Juicing vegetables and blending fruits is also a great way of introducing healthy viruses and bacteria to your body because plants have their own immune system that defends against pathogens and by consuming raw vegetable juice and blended fruit you’re making these bacteria and viruses more bioavailable to your digestive system.

Let me know if you have any more questions, I’ll help in any way I can.

      Dr. B

    Hello Dr. Bergman,

After some months of going from pillar to post and feeling increasingly demoralised, I am so grateful to have finally found you… promptly collapsing into a puddle of relief. Two MRIs later (the recent one being upright), I have a clearer picture of what’s been going on. I somehow injured myself back in January during a seemingly innocuous movement and hyper-flexed my neck to the right. Something felt wrong straight away and I initially sought help from an osteopath. I received some conservative manipulation (and acupuncture) but then noticed a click/grinding in my neck on rotation (in addition to the original symptoms) which is still ongoing. It is not painful when I turn but feels uncomfortable and restricted, and from time to time I also hear a spongey noise and intermittent popping in my ears. Mostly right sided. I knew/know this correlates but when mentioned, it has been deemed ”unrelated”. Severe discomfort continued, with nerve impingement sensations, aching extremeties, slight relief, followed by relapses and no answers… More pain killers, anti-inflammatories and diazepam prescriptions were the result. I don’t believe in them and after a few weeks was able to turn to turmeric milk, deep breathing and gentle exercise instead, but still experiencing difficulty because, as suspected, it is a structural issue. I awake feeling like my neck is being swallowed by my chest cavity and my shoulders feel dislocated. The latest flexion/extension MRI shows that I have lost my ‘arc of life’ and have disc bulges at C5/6 and T1/2. I had two (impact) accidents to the face/mouth as a twelve year old, which may or may not account for the mid cervical lordosis being flattened. Having been to a physio for a few weeks, and though well intentioned, the treatment is focused on symptom relief rather than addressing the underlying cause. I have continued to search for a corrective chiropractor here (UK) but to no avail. Reaching desperation point, I felt my next port of call could only be you, and this. It is now possible that I can make my way to CA but financial constraints have been a concern. Please could you advise what next to do… Would it be possible to schedule an appointment with you at your clinic? (I had emailed some questions there previously and was kindly directed to your website). I can send you further relevant information and my MRI images and report if need be. Would be so grateful for your help. Thank you.

    Kindest regards,

    Josephine

    • Hello Josephine,

The good news is that everything you’ve listed is completely correctable through proper chiropractic care. I’ve had a great deal of experience with cases like yours and in every case they’ve experienced a complete reversal of their symptoms and have been able to regain their optimal health. Obviously the best option would be to find a corrective chiropractor in your area that can analyze your spine and nervous system, identify the specific problems, and correct them accordingly. Make sure you find a chiropractor with the skills necessary to reshape the structure of the spine, restore normal biomechanics, and stimulate the nervous system to promote healing and normal function.

Please use this list of questions to find the best possible chiropractor in your area:

If you can find a chiropractor in your area, but they aren’t producing any results, I can help train and teach this doctor my methods of treatment which are extremely effective. I’ve trained thousands of doctors over the years and I taught chiropractic techniques for 8 years at Cleveland Chiropractic College. I have training videos available on Youtube and I can skype with them to discuss treatment protocols and techniques in detail. So if your doctor is open and willing to learn I’m available to teach them everything I know about healing.

If you can make it to my clinic in Huntington Beach, California, I’ll be able to treat you personally, correct your underlying health issues and get you healthy. I have patients that fly in from around the world to my office. I treat these patients very intensively for however long they can stay whether it’s 2 weeks or 2 months and we see fantastic results in a very short time with this method of treatment. If you’re considering this option, I’d recommend you schedule a skype or phone consultation through owners-guide.com so we can discuss in detail what our treatment protocols are and further discuss the details of your case.
To schedule a consultation you can visit owners-guide.com or use the link below:

        Hello Dr. Bergman,

Thank you so much for getting back to me so promptly, for all the information you included and your positivity. A relief to know that I’m fixable! – having had to dig deep these past few months to keep my optimism, and humour, intact. Knowing the body can always heal itself, given half a chance and yet meeting with those who seem to think otherwise.

I was kindly given the list of questions to ask a prospective corrective chiropractor by your clinic a week or so ago. I asked them but was met with some blank stares, and a sense that I had asked something very inappropriate. My hopes were raised and dashed just as quickly because I was told it was “risky” to attempt to restore the natural curve in my neck, and that there are many people walking around who have the same and yet do not experience any pain, nerve sensation or restriction in their movements. Some of the comments have, frankly, been staggering and I have struggled to state my case. This is why hearing and knowing of your breadth of knowledge and understanding has felt like a godsend. Thank you for ALL that you do. I studied A & P ten years ago, and have a (very) basic understanding but have managed to learn so much during this experience, not least the ignorance that seems so prevalent in the ‘health’ care sector (!)

As mentioned, there are financial contraints, having gone through the rigmarole of osteopaths, a neurosurgeon, private MRIs and physios and though I was hoping to reduce costs a little, I am also somewhat desperate to get this sorted. I don’t know how long I would need to stay, (or where) but putting all my funds towards that, flights and the treatment, and hope you could advise me… and also, if the 30 minute consultation would be sufficient?

        Thank you so much again.

        Josephine

        • Hello Josephine,

Let’s work on getting the healing process started. Obviously the best option would be to find a corrective chiropractor in your area, however, if this is not possible then the next best option would be to travel to the nearest city, state, or country with a corrective chiropractor. If you can make it to my clinic in Huntington Beach, California I’ll be able to treat you personally and get your body functioning optimally again.

As for the cost of treatment, it’s $129 dollars for the new patient exam, x-rays, and report of findings which includes your first adjustment. $3,600 will cover the cost of treatment for you and you’re loved ones if they’ll be coming as well.

For my long distance patients I always suggest an online consultation before you make the journey over to my clinic so we can discuss the details of your case and our treatment protocols. Another benefit of the online consultation is that I can give you specific exercises to start correcting the structural and biomechanical problems in the spine as well as a list of proper diet and lifestyle changes you can start implementing now to start healing the body immediately. The “Out of Towner Special” is usually the best option for consultations if you’re planning on coming to my clinic for treatment because it includes the consultation and the cost of the exam.

Let me know if you have any more questions, I’ll help in any way I can, Let’s get you Healthy!

            Hello Dr. Bergman,

Thank you so much for the information.

I have booked a consultation with you for next week but please, in the event that there are any cancellations for this week – the 17th – would so welcome a swap for that slot, if at all possible? I’m hoping to make the trip over in the next few weeks, as quite concerned about the time factor, and the fact that my neck still feels so uncomfortable after all these months. Hope to stay for as long as required for treatment, but would be very grateful for any accommodation contacts you may have in this regard. In the meantime, I am still on the Airbnb hunt for somewhere clean, cheap and cheerful in the vicinity. I have been unable to work (as an artist) properly since this happened… So really hoping for resolution soon, as all round it’s been pretty worrying.

So appreciate your help on this. Thank you again.

          • Hello Josephine,

I’ll let you know if a spot opens up between now and your appointment. Unfortunately I only have a few days and certain times throughout the week that I can schedule consultations because of my busy schedule.

As for accommodation during your treatment at my clinic, as soon as you know the days you’ll be in the area, please call my office and we’ll try to set something affordable up with our contacts in the area.

I have a phone consultation scheduled with you for this Friday but have received no further info. I’m hoping I’ve not missed something along the way. (?) Wondered, are Skype details still to be sent or am I supposed to have received them on contacting the clinic? As advised, I have called the clinic several times hoping to speak to someone about the aforementioned and protocol for an impending trip over, but to no avail and have only managed to leave messages. I don’t expect a call back, being in the UK but wonder what next to do? I will gladly call again but it’s difficult knowing opportune moments with the time difference et al. Concerned about the time and having not made proper arrangements as yet. Can you help please? Trying to coordinate all of this with my current condition is almost comical (!).

  14. First off, you’re the man Dr. Bergman! You have changed my life and so many others’ lives! I hope you know how thankful we ALL are for you!
So, I have a friend whose wife is lowing her hearing. Her mother lost her hearing too. Apparently it’s a genetic condition effecting the females in the family. Is that some lame conventional doctors answer or could this be an underlying inflammatory, autoimmune condition that “regular” doctors haven’t the slightest clue about?? Or have you heard of this genetic phenomenon, and is there really nothing she can do?
    Thanks!

    • Hello Kate,

You’re definitely on the right tract of thinking. Even genetic diseases have to do with genetic expression and you have control of your genetics through something called Epigenetics. If you’re not familiar with epigenetics, please check out Bruce Lipton’s research and books on it. Epigenetics focuses on the protein that surrounds our DNA which controls gene expression your body. Various toxins in our food and environment can negatively affect these proteins causing an expression of a gene. So you even worst case scenario you have the gene for hearing loss, your body can suppress or express this gene based on your exposure to toxins. The key is to limit your exposure to toxins and increase your exposure to nutrients to positively affect your DNA.

Check out the video below for more info on Genetics and Genetic expression:

      https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h2uQHd6qTL8

So for hearing loss, first of all, the eustachian tube is responsible for drainage of the inner ear and it drains through the soft palate. So anything that affects the soft palate such as infections can negatively affect the ear, however, most doctors forget that the nerve supply to the soft palate can become compromised from any cervical trauma. This is extremely common in children who had a traumatic birth and in adults with cervical trauma including whiplash injuries from car accidents and forward head carriage from sitting for long periods of time. The solution is to first ensure there is proper nerve supply through chiropractic techniques. By restoring the cervical curve and alleviating pressure on the nerves that supply the soft palate you can dramatically improve drainage of the eustachian tube which then improves inner ear function. Next it’s important to take the proper steps to strengthen the immune system to correct any infections involved with the soft palate.

The best option for your friend and the mom is to find a corrective chiropractor that can analyze the spine and nervous system, identify the specific problems, and correct them accordingly. It’s important find a chiropractor with the skills necessary to reshape the structure of the spine, restore normal biomechanics, and stimulate the nervous system to promote healing and normal function.

    Hi Dr. Bergman.

I explained to you in a previous post my issues with sleep and how it’s become chronic. You told me first to see a chiropractor and I was fortunate to meet and see Dr. Lou Jacobs, he looked at the X-rays and he didn’t find any problems that might cause the sleep issue, just a few CNS pressures on the left side that were corrected on site. It felt good, but my sleep hasn’t improved much. I’d like you to point me in the right direction what to do next by telling you the symptoms I experience right now:

    • Insomnia (chronic)
    • Sensitivity to cold
    • Decreased perspiration
    • High cholesterol
    • Dry skin and/or hair
    • Weak, brittle nails
    • Fine and/or thinning hair
    • Facial puffiness, particularly around the eyes
    • Poor digestion
    • Itching
    • Breathlessness, air hunger
    • Brain fog
    • Muscle aches
    • Diminished reflexes
    • Nervousness
    • Anxiety
    • Hoarse or deepening voice

I tested myself for low stomach acid by drinking 1/4 of baking soda with 8 ounces of water in the morning, I burped two times in a period of 2-3 minutes. They say if you don’t burp within 5 minutes, then you may have low stomach acid. I had palpitations before, especially when trying to fall asleep and I tested my cortisol levels in Jan 2016 along with DHEA-S and ACTH, below are the results:

    25 Jan 2016: DHEA-S 229.8 µg/dL (88.9 – 427)
    ACTH 20.71 pg/mL (7.2 – 63.3)
    26 Jan 2016: Cortisol 2.2 µg/L (8:00 AM, 6-10: < 8.7)
    Cortisol < 1.1 µg/L (2:00 PM, 16-20: < 3.5)
    27 Jan 2016: Cortisol < 1.1 µg/L (0:00 AM, 0 AM < 4.1)

As you can see the cortisol levels are within the range but low on the left margin, this explains my energy levels in the morning. By looking at the symptoms they are similar to hypothyroidism symptoms, so my next blood tests were T3, T4, TSH, FT4, FT3, TPOAb and TgAb (thyroid antibodies) and below are the results:

    May 30 2016:
    TSH 1.89 µUI/mL (0.27 – 4.2)
    FT4 14.75 pmol/L (10.6 – 22.7)
    T4 67.91 nmol/L (66 – 181)
    T3 1.3 nmol/L (1.27 – 3.07)
    TPOAg 6.25 UI/mL (< 34)
    TgAb 18 UI/mL (<= 115)
    FT3 still in process

As you can see my TSH, FT4, T4. T3 are low, but there is no inflammation of the thyroid gland according to my thyroid antibodies levels (low). To help my sleep a bit I use Melatonin (1.5mg), but I wake up around 2-3 AM and cannot fall back asleep again. Based on my symptoms, something is messed up in my body, probably a hormonal imbalance. Back in January this year I stopped taking Seroquel (sleep inducer), by tapering slowly. Once a week I take Cell Nutrition from WTSmed (half spoon, promotes optimal cell funtion), Vitamin C powder (Hulda Clark store). I've used to follow a Paleo diet, low in carbs and high in fat, but now I'm looking back and trying to connect the dots of what happened, maybe in the long term this Paleo diet might cause a hormonal imbalance, slow metabolism, HPA disfunction. I don't know what else to do, maybe see an endocrinologist, what do you think doctor ?

    I really need your help.
    Thank you.
    Michael (Romania)

    • All your issues point to underlying problems with chronic stress which affects your body in many different ways. This can be difficult to understand and even more difficult to explain. I made a video recently about women’s health that explains the mechanism of chronic stress and how it affects your health. Obviously, you’re not a woman, but the information is still applicable to your situation. Here’s that video:
      https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4xgkouoNZB0

Chiropractic is just one essential ingredient to the healing process. It will be best to focus on eliminating all chronic stressors in your life because these are responsible for Adrenal fatigue which causes fluctuations in cortisol levels, it’s responsible for thyroid exhaustion which causes issues with TSH and T3/4 levels, and it will cause an assortment of other issues such as your insomnia.

First, the basics…. Chemical, Physical, and Emotional stress are the cause of virtually every chronic disease on the planet. Addressing all 3 means you put your body into a healing state and if you’re exposed to all 3 stressors you’ll experience health issues.

Chemical Stress: You may have been exposed to toxins including antibiotics, medications, and vaccinations, all of which dramatically affect the digestive system. So, you must detox your body and eliminate any toxins in your diet and lifestyle while also strengthening your immune system. There are many options to accomplish this, however, one of the best methods is to do a juice fast followed by a hydro-colonic and perhaps even a coffee enema. This will draw out toxins from the body and help to heal any damage while also flooding the body with nutrients/minerals. After you’re done detoxing and cleansing his body, make sure he switches to a 70% organic plant based diet and avoid any packaged or processed food. Also, juicing vegetables and blending fruits on a daily basis will help reduce pain and inflammation for the digestive system.

Here’s a detailed video on detoxing if you need more info:
      https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4-JrAoBoa2E

Physical Stress: Remember that the nervous system controls everything including the thyroid and adrenal gland and any nerve interference particularly coming from the spine will affect function of your organ systems. Physical stress can also be from excessive physical activity or a sedentary lifestyle. It’s best to incorporate a proper exercise routines that you can do on a daily basis to make sure you’re properly dealing with physical stress. I recommend incorporating High Intensity Interval training into your daily routine. My associate, Dr. Mike did an entire video on this subject if you’d like to learn more:
      https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H9wyNpr-0Uk

Emotional Stress: Emotional stressors can be from work, relationships, family, financial troubles and more. These all activate your body’s stress response and negatively effect your health. Try to eliminate any emotional stressors present in your daily life as best you can and watch my videos on Changing your Mindset to learn techniques that’ll help in dealing with stress.

As for your insomnia, this is the most damaging problem in your life because lack of healthy sleep will prevent you from healing properly. A great technique for achieving deep sleep or REM is to decrease the amount of time that you’re sleeping. This technique has worked with the worst insomniacs and it usually takes about 5 days to get an insomniac to get a good nights sleep. You’ll go to sleep between 10 and 10:30 every night and wake up between 4 and 430. You will be tired the first few days as your body adjusts to this schedule, but you can’t take any naps during the day. Within 5 days of sticking to this schedule you’ll be achieving deep restful sleep every night especially if you’re incorporating all the techniques I list for Deep sleep in my videos. Here’s my latest video on Sleep:

    Many thanks and greetings.

    • Hello Alegria,

It’s very unfortunate that you don’t have access to highly skilled and knowledgeable chiropractors because getting proper chiropractic care is a vital part of the healing process. You may want to consider traveling to a different city or country to get the care you need. For example, I have many patients that fly in from around the world to my office. I treat these patients very intensively for however long they can stay whether it’s 2 weeks or 2 months and we see fantastic results in a very short time with this method. If you have the financial means to do something like this, it would be the fastest way to get you healthy.

It’s important to remember that Rheumatoid arthritis is primarily caused by toxic overload and deficiency of nutrients, so you can start the healing process by massively detoxing the body and loading up on nutrients. One of the best ways to accomplish this is through juicing vegetables and blending fruits. This predigests the food and makes absorption makes for you body. This is vital especially if you’ve been exposed to antibiotics, vaccinations, toxic/processed food or medications. Also, you should switch to an organic plant based diet with lots of healthy fats like coconut oil along with proper lifestyle changes like getting deep sleep and exercise everyday.

All 5 keys of health and healing are essential, here’s a video that explain this:

HAVE LOST A LOT OF WEIGHT AND MUSCLE MASS DURING THE LAST FEW YEARS, WHICH MAYBE WORSENS THE OSTEOARTHRITIS? (NEXT PARAGRAPH). SUFFER FROM SOME DIGESTIVE PROBLEM, PROBABLY IBS. ANYWAY I KNOW I HAVE DIVERTICULOSIS BUT HAS NEVER BEEN MUCH OF A PROBLEM. HOWEVER COUPLE OF DAYS AGO, HAD SEVERE PAIN LEFT SIDE ABDOMEN & SEVERAL PAINFUL VOWEL MOVEMENTS. MAYBE SOME FEVER TOO. PAIN WHEN TOUCHING LEFT SIDE & STOMACK AREA GENERALLY PAINFUL. DIVERTICULITIS? TODAY FEEL A LOT BETTER. LATELY APPLY HUMID PACKS. MY HUSBAND AND I ARE THINKING OF VISITING YOU. HE DOESN’T THINK IT NECESSARY FOR HIMSELF ANYWAY FOR ALTHOUGH HE HAS SOME HEALTH ISSUES, LUCKILY HE DOESN’T FEEL SICK.

DO YOU KNOW OF A COR. CHIRO IN THE NETHERLANDS. HAVE TRIED TO FIND ONE WITHOUT SUCCESS. HOWEVER THEY AREN’T ALLOWED X-RAYS HERE SO IT WOULD BE OF NO USE.?

GREETINGS AND THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR ANY ADVICE YOU CAN GIVE US.

    • Hello Nora,

First of all, please don’t use “Caps Lock” because it makes it very difficult to read your messages.

Unfortunately, I don’t know any chiropractors personally in Netherlands that practice corrective techniques. The best option would be to find a corrective chiropractor that can analyze your spine and nervous system, identify the specific problems, and correct them accordingly. Make sure you find a chiropractor with the skills necessary to reshape the structure of the spine, restore normal biomechanics, and stimulate the nervous system to promote healing and normal function.
Here’s a video that’ll help you find the best possible chiropractor in your area:

      https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pEHDm749Rd8

I’m also available for Skype and Phone consultations if you’d like to speak to me directly so we can discuss the details of your case. You can schedule a consultation here: https://www.owners-guide.com/online-consultation/

For now you can start the healing process by detoxing your body and making the proper dietary and lifestyle changes necessary to promote health and healing.
Check out my latest video on detoxing for detailed info on how to properly detox your body:
      https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4-JrAoBoa2E

Start by switching to an organic, plant based diet with plenty of healthy fats like coconut oil. You’ll also want to avoid any packaged or processed food as well as any meats because these are loaded with toxins which directly affect the health and quality of your body. You’ll want to supplement appropriately with vitamin D, vitamin C with bioflavonoids, omega 3 (fish oil), Lugol’s Solution (iodine), chlorella, spirulina and a mineral/amino acid supplement like Body Balance from Life Force. Make sure you get the highest quality supplements you can find because these are vital for improving your health.

Check out the videos below to learn about the proper diet/lifestyle changes you should start making as well as a detailed video on juicing/blending:

          Hello Dr Bergman

I was diagnosed with ‘spondylosis’ about 4 years ago, was told it was due to bad posture, had treatment for lower back pain and made a good recovery. In October I climbed up an inflatable in the ocean here in Jeddah and stupidly bent over too far backwards which then caused inflammation up my whole back which didn’t settle for weeks. I travelled back home for treatment as here in Jeddah there is one part time Chiropractor and he was on holiday at the time. I saw an osteopath and had acupuncture among other therapies. However, the first needle she inserted into the right side of my lower back sent an electric shock type pain down my back! I had further treatment there but then had to return to Jeddah and started seeing my chiropractor early Feb of this year. I had an xray done in December which showed reduced bone density, wearing of cartilage at L5 with a small amount of osteophytes anterior to that, normal disc space, normal lordosis, normal SI joints. The xray was taken lying down. I also had terrible muscle spasms while back home on walking which according to my Chiro here pulled my right hip higher than my left. He has been doing spinal manipulation and does several adjustments on my neck, upper back and rib cage.

Couple weeks back I started having some aching into my coccyx and also felt some ‘contraction like’ sensations in my pelvis. I was told that it was spasms, advised not to bend over to pick things up and to bend at knees on brushing my teeth etc. For ages now I’ve been doing knee to chest stretches, some child pose into cat pose yoga and daily walks. I have sharp pain on walking which seems to start from the right sacro iliac joint then I feel it on my left side too then 5 minutes into my walk my middle back feels tired. I also feel the contraction like sensation in my pelvis on and off on walking. My chiro advised to use a heat pad, have hot showers and to do my knee to chest lying on floor with my legs on my sofa at 90 deg angle. Pain persists although I have noticed a bit of improvement in that my coccyx isn’t aching as I don’t bend or stoop over. I sleep with a pillow between my knees thighs. I have normal bowel and bladder function and there’s no pain going into my legs or numbness. I notice that my glute muscles are very tender if I palpate them. I have been wearing a sacro lumbar support on advice for a few months but he said not to wear it in house. I wear it out walking only.

In a few days we are going to Dubai as my husband has to work there for 3 months. We may have to exit to London first which is a 6 hour flight then turn tail back to Dubai. A lot of flying with a sore back. I’m worried, not sleeping and need some reassurance. I’ve watched your videos on Youtube etc and think the world needs far more doctors like you as you make so much sense. I’m trying to stay off the pain relief. I had a cocktail of meds while back home including Diazepam, Naproxen, Paracetemol etc. I’m worn out with worry at the tender age of 58. My chiro keeps telling me I’m going to be ok….now nearing 6 months since my problem started. I’d be grateful for your input. Many thanks. Helen (ex nurse)

I answered your message yesterday but I’ll post my response below in this message.

            Hello Helen,

From what you’ve described about your chiropractor I’d recommend you try to find a more highly skilled and knowledgeable chiropractor. It should only take a maximum 90 days to get you completely out of pain and off all medications. In my clinic, my patients are usually out of pain within the first few days. Within two weeks they see a dramatic improvements in their health and are able to start weaning off any medications. And within a month we see massive structural changes in the spine and amazing health changes.

    Hi DR Bergman,
You Guys Rock just love being able to walk with no pain, yep you help me reversed arthritis with X-RAYS to prove it and changed my life, love you guys

I have an issue with my 2 year old her bowels dont work 4 days upto 7 days then had to do a depository thing up their not good , crazy thing is she’s on a good organic plant based diet and the king 2 year old juicer. She also eats shakes in the morning with superfoods same as me raw honey berrys, sperlina somtimes, gojee berrys, cocunut milk
We had a new born at the start of the year its got worse since then
do you think her body could of gone into flight or flight mode,
we have got her going to a good chiro to get the nerves system worked on.
    What else can we do?

    • Hello Simon,

First of all, your daughter may have been exposed to vaccinations, medications, antibiotics, or toxins in the environment, all of which damage the digestive system. It seems like her diet is pretty clean, however, I would highly recommend either probiotics or even better fermented foods like sauerkraut which contain more probiotics in one spoon full than an entire bottle of probiotics supplements. Also, juicing will be fantastic because the enzymes, healthy bacteria, minerals, and soluble fibers in veggie juice are great for healing the gut. Remember, there is a huge difference between blending and juicing.

Another important factor is Omega 3 which has an incredible ability to heal the gut, largely due to it’s potent anti-inflammatory abilities. Make sure you get a high quality animal based Omega 3 supplement. I recommend Omega 3 in the liquid form and the one I currently use is made by a company called Biopharma. Also, make sure she’s getting all the necessary supplements like vitamin D, vitamin C with bioflavonoids, Lugol’s Solution (iodine), chlorella, spirulina and a mineral/amino acid supplement like Body Balance from Life Force.

And Remember, the colon is where most of your water absorption takes place and the majority of people in the world don’t drink enough water. Dehydration often leads to constipation. Increase her water intake to at least 50% of your body weight in ounces, for example, a 200lb person would need to drink 100ounces daily. Also, increase her intake of watery fruits like watermelon, melons, and cantaloupes. Papayas are also very beneficial for increasing movement in the colon. Hydrating properly along with an organic plant based diet with absolutely no processed or packaged food should increase her daily bowel movements. However, don’t forget to get her nervous system and spine checked by a corrective chiropractor. Most of my patients with bowel issues have nerve interference occurring in the digestive system which causes decrease motility (movement). This combination of diet/lifestyle changes along with chiropractic care will fix any issues with the digestive system.

Finally, most children with bowel issues have a tremendous amount of gas build up in the colon which will massively disrupt bowel movements. This gas builds up as a result of the damage from toxic exposure to various chemicals. In addition to chiropractic care, I recommend placing moist heat directly on her belly which will increase motility and blood supply to the digestive tract and help get rid of the gas build up.

Let me know if you have any questions. Let’s get your Daughter Healthy!

        Hi Dr Bergman,

Still loving my new pain free life thanks to you guys,

With my 2 year old daughter were still not have much luck her bowels still not working up to 5 days, is it best to try get it out say with Fig bar we gave her some the other day which worked now she wont eat it again, do you know any other options? Don’t really want to use medication but we are running out of options, just hate seeing her in pain after 5 days. She is drinking about 700ml of cold pressed carrot apple celery spinach juice a day your amazing recipe she loves it, I also mix it with water because we have lots of trouble getting her to drink water by its self she proberly getting about 500ml of water i know it should be more. Can the soluber fiber in the juice slow the digestive track?
She wont drink shakes Blended superfoods and berries honey. So we make superfood balls caca cocunut raw honey chia seeds hemp protien,
She eats organic plant based diet lots of fruit veg, no diary no Gluten,
She been going to a good chiro she had lower back issues he said its a lot better now

I sneak Probiotic in the Juice Vitamin C, Vitamin D, and Chlorella at separate times, Try and get wild salmon into twice a week cause haven’t found a way to get her to drink fish oil,
also been trying organic prune juice,
tried the heat pack on the tummy hard to keep it on a 2 year old, so been trying to massage the tummy even telling her to play drums with her hands on her tummy trying anything not sure if these are good or bad,

Do you have any other options to speed up the healing process?

        Thanks Simon

        • Hello Simon,

The colon is where most of your water absorption takes place and the majority of people in the world don’t drink enough water. Most of my patients with bowel issues have nerve interference occurring in the digestive system which causes decrease motility (movement). This combination of diet/lifestyle changes along with chiropractic care will fix any issues with the digestive system.

Here’s a video that’ll help you find a corrective chiropractor in your area. If you want to stick with her current chiropractor, please make sure he/she fits these qualifications:
          https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pEHDm749Rd8

Also, it’s important to keep in mind that drinking vegetable juice won’t increase bowel movements because in order to stimulate peristalsis (bowel movement and formation of feces) the body needs insoluble fiber. Juice as you know contains only soluble fiber which is great for overall health but won’t stimulate peristalsis. Insoluble fiber is absolutely necessary for proper bowel movement.

Since there could be damage and resulting inflammation from toxic exposure it will be very important for her to start getting plenty of Omega 3’s. Salmon does contain Omega 3 but it’s only in small amounts and most salmon is contaminated with heavy metals like mercury. If she can’t take fish oil in it’s liquid form then I suggest including sardines, anchovies, and mackerel in her diet because these fish contain high amounts of Omega 3 and low amounts of mercury. The brand of fish oil that I recommend tastes great and most of my kid patients love it. It’s called Biopharma, here’s a link to their site:
          http://www.biopharmasci.com/nanoEPA-lemon-creme-omega3-fish-oil-p/5nepa-lemon-creme.htm
          http://www.biopharmasci.com/nanoEPA-mango-peach-omega3-fish-oil-p/5nepa-peach-mango-s.htm

As for heat on the abdomen, this is fantastic for healing the digestive system and promoting bowel movement. Make sure you’re using moist heat such as a damp towel and try to get it as hot as possible without burning her skin. Moist heat can penetrate up to 2 inches into the body and will increase blood flow to her digestive system. Dry heat like most hot packs which are heated in the microwave won’t have the same beneficial affect on the body.

Let me know if you have any more questions and keep me updated on her progress.

          Dr. B

I really wanted to ask you whether it is possible to help someone with a facial palsy please? My son had a grade 2 astrocytoma located on his brain stem when he was 7 years old (he’s now 21). After surgery, which removed most of the tumour, he was left with a facial palsy on the left side. He’s also deaf in his left ear and the whole of his left side is weaker. He has undertaken a lot of weight training which has really helped the left side of his body and his balance has greatly improved. He sees a physio every few months for his face and he uses a stimulator machine every single night whilst he sleeps. Muscle tone has improved somewhat but his face still droops and he cannot fully close his eye. I was wondering if anything more could be done to regenerate the nerve and to retrain the brain to use the muscles. I understand that the nerve was stretched during surgery. As you can imagine, this has affected him more than just physically.

Look forward to hearing from you and thank you for your time.

        Catherine

        • Hello Catherine,

I notified the website manager about the issue and it should be resolved shortly.

As for your son, if the nerve was cut or damaged during the surgery it might not be possible to regain function of his facial muscles. There are several ways to stimulate nerve regeneration however, this completely dependent on how much damage was done. I would highly recommend you find a chiropractor that can analyze your sons nervous system to see what damage has been done. There are many techniques to stimulate nerve function by manipulating the facial and skull bones as well as correcting any issues with the cervical spine.

If your son doesn’t have a chiropractor yet, make sure he finds a chiropractor with the skills necessary to reshape the structure of the spine, restore normal biomechanics, manipulate the skull bones and stimulate the nervous system to promote healing and normal function.

Here’s a video that’ll help your son find the best possible chiropractor:

  29. Hi Dr B- I have a friend with has Vitiligo. She’s working on healing her gut to correct immune reaction. What else would you recommend?
    Thanks! YOU ROCK!

    • The key to healing vitiligo is to correct any underlying issues with the nervous system and digestive system. To get the digestive system functioning properly, avoid all packaged/processed food, get plenty of healthy fats like coconut oil, and maintain an organic plant based diet. She’ll want to supplement appropriately with vitamin D, vitamin C with bioflavonoids, omega 3 (fish oil), Lugol’s Solution (iodine), chlorella, spirulina and a mineral/amino acid supplement like Body Balance from Life Force. A high quality animal based fish oil will be one of the most essential keys to healing. Fermented foods or probiotics will also be great to help restore normal microflora.

I also suggest juicing vegetables and blending fruits on a daily basis, in fact, I highly recommend a short term or even long term juice fast. If you’ve never done a juice fast I would suggest a 3-7 day juice fast where you’re juicing around 20-30 pounds of vegetables every day. After the juice fast you’ll need to do a hydro-colonic and coffee enema which will further detox your body, especially the colon and liver. Juicing and blending are fantastic because the soluble fiber in veggie juice can be absorbed directly into your blood stream and bind to toxins which may be effecting the health of your body. Juicing/blending also predigests the food so the nutrients/minerals are more easily absorbed by your body. There are also enzymes and natural probiotics in the veggie juice/blended fruit that will radically improve your digestive system.

He is on some pretty strong medication that are not really helping him, with pretty scary side affects . He lives in South Africa. He has also had his sleep patterns tested / monitored but I can’t believe that will mean much as who can sleep attached to many wires any way and in a foreign place. He is very active in that he plays an incredible game of soccer. He also has RLS. Do you have any advise that can help this difficult situation? Just a quick note to say thank you for the hope and information for my husbands health.

As for your nephew, there could be several underlying problems that are causing his narcolepsy and cataplexy including nerve interference and exposure to neurotoxins. The best option would be to find a corrective chiropractor that can analyze his spine and nervous system, identify the specific problems, and correct them accordingly. Make sure you find a chiropractor with the skills necessary to reshape the structure of the spine, restore normal biomechanics, and stimulate the nervous system to promote healing and normal function.
Here’s a video that’ll help you find the best possible chiropractor:

      https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pEHDm749Rd8

Also, he may have been exposed to vaccinations, antibiotics, toxins, and possibly many medications over the years, so a key step to healing is always detoxing the body because all of these can negatively effect the organ systems and especially the nervous system. Check out my latest video on detoxing for detail info on how to properly detox the body:

      • Megan Jones says:

        Dr B,

Thank you so much for this information. I have passed it onto my sister in-law and will let you know if we have any further questions.

Now for another matter if I may, about a year ago my husband started with various symptoms that we now think is lining up with fibromyalgia.
He has been in a very stressful work situation for the last 6 years. Working long hours under stressful conditions.
        Other symptoms are:
        – bad muscle control in his legs, weakness and balance.
        – really bad restless legs particularly at night that keeps us both awake.
        – headaches
        – brain fog
        – sore muscles (arms, legs)
After watching many of your videos, we have changed his diet by eliminating gluten and we have partially started a leaky gut diet, but plan to start in ernest next week.
He went to see a Chiropractor about a month ago. He took many x-rays and it showed that his Atlas was out by 3 deg on the one axis and 7 deg on the other. Also his rib cage and hips were skew. After the 2nd session his headaches eased a bit, the brain fog cleared and his restless legs improved drastically. However the restless legs have come back maybe even worse, and the painful muscles have increased since we started with the chiropractor. The chiropractor is about to take more x-rays to compare so I can’t yet comment on that.
We have made sleep changes after watching your REM busters video which has helped but the restless legs is keeping us both awake.
The fight or flight scenario is very real for him and we are trying to make small adjustments to accommodate his stress levels.
Last week Friday the flu hit him really badly. He had a burning sensation in his chest that was unbearable along with nausea and feeling dizzy. It got so bad that I ended up taking him to urgent care on Sunday. They took a chest x-ray and did a flu and strep throat test, which all came back negative. He did have a pretty high fever. They gave him Tamiflu and Ondansetron for the nausea. After taking 3 of the 10 Tamiflu he phoned the pharmacist and told her he was stopping it as it made him hallucinate and become panicky. She then informed him that they did have post test reports of those side affects which is maddening.
Our chiropractor is a little puzzled as to why his treatment is taking so long to work. Not that it’s not helping.
Any input would be greatly appreciated.

        • Hello Megan,

Your husband definitely has some issues going on with his Nervous System and Immune System that both point to Sympathetic Dominance. If you’ve seen my videos on the Nervous system you may have heard me mention the Autonomic Nervous System which is composed of the Sympathetic and Parasympathetic nervous system. You have the Parasympathetic Nervous System which controls rest, healing, and the digestive system. Then you have the Sympathetic Nervous system which is the fight or flight response. The sympathetic nervous system reacts to 3 forms of stress whether it’s chemical, physical, or emotional stress the result is the same… blood pressure decreases to your digestive system and most of your normal organ function shuts down to bring more blood to the arms and legs. The sympathetic response is an involuntary reaction of your body to keep you alive in stressful situations. The problem is most people are in a Sympathetic Dominant State because we are surrounded by those 3 stressors almost constantly. This state of chronic stress is the reason why we see so many chronic health conditions in our society.

This is the reason why you can take all the healthy supplements in the world and still not heal from certain diseases or conditions. If your sympathetic nervous system is active, your organs aren’t functioning properly and you won’t be able to absorb those wonderful nutrients.

Your husband needs to focus on eliminating those 3 stressors to start healing his body properly. Chemical stress comes from vaccinations, antibiotics, medications, toxins in our food, and toxins in the environment. Emotional stress can come from daily stressors like your job or relationships and from major emotional events. Physical stress can be from injuries, trauma, daily activities, or underlying problems in your spine.

The spine surrounds the spinal cord and any deviation from the normal structure or biomechanics of the spine can cause major health issues. Whether you’ve suffered a major trauma or you sit everyday at work the effect on your spine can cause nerve interference or compression which prevents the brain from communicating with the rest of the body. This is where a corrective chiropractor will come in handy during the healing process. In addition to addressing the other stressors in his life, a corrective chiropractor can analyze his spine and nervous system, identify the underlying problems and treat them accordingly. This is what I do everyday in my office and our methods are extremely effective in healing all sorts of issues with the body.

If your chiropractor isn’t seeing any results, I can help train and teach this doctor my methods of treatment which are extremely effective.

I’ll help in any way I can, Let me know if you have any more questions.

          • Megan Jones says:

Thank you Dr. B, his restless legs have been almost non existent for the past 2 nights. The episode of bad restless legs may have been the medication working its way out of his body still from the flu, and he did have a session with the chiropractor yesterday. His energy levels are very low at the moment, again I’m hoping its the flu still working its way out of his body.

Another part of my concern is that we are busy applying for the green card. We have completed the 1st step of a 2 step process. Should the 1st step be approved, part of the 2nd step is proving we have been vaccinated. Back in the day that we were vaccinated (because we did not know any better) no records were given. So the rule is if you can’t prove it you need to get them done again. There is a list of about 14 vaccinations that will need to get done. However if you you may be considered for a waiver based on religious or moral convictions or allergic. I really don’t want either of us to have to have them especially seen we have almost certainly already had them. Any advice?

Thank you once again for your very valuable advice.

          • It might be possible to apply for an exemption, however, this can potentially delay the application for the green card. I would consult an immigration lawyer to find out the details about the exemption process. My daughter-in-law went through the green card application process a few years ago and she had the same problem. She had been vaccinated already in her country and couldn’t find the records. She managed to get a doctor to sign a piece of paper listing her vaccinations and then had this document professionally translated. All her paperwork was accepted and she went through the green card process without having to get vaccinated.

Let me know how that works out and keep me updated on his progress.

          • Megan Jones says:

            Hi Dr. B,
Thought I’d update you on my husbands progress and ask a question. He has changed his diet to eating organic and plant based foods for about 3 months now. Some symptoms have improved like he used to get bad headaches and have to take Excedrin every other day. He has not taken anything for about 2 weeks now. His restless legs have greatly improved. Areas that have not improved is his balance, muscle pain (on and off) and co-ordination has been a bit off as well. He has been doing about 10min of core exercise 5 days a week and is taking vitamin D3. We have been focussing on healing his gut and he continues to see a chiropractor. He has not had any official diagnosis but looking at the symptoms of MS and Fibromyalgia either could apply. Would you advise that he continue doing what he is doing and it may take time to improve or are there other exercises or something else he could do?
He was with friends yesterday and tried to run and was pretty shocked at how he could not do it :(

            Thank you once again

          • Hello Megan,

Vertigo, balance issues, and problems with coordination are extremely common these days and is simple to correct if you address all the underlying causes. The two biggest underlying problems are mineral deficiency and a lack of proper nerve supply. I’m not sure if I mentioned how important it is to find a corrective chiropractor because the body mainly gets it’s sense of balance from something called proprioception which is your body’s awareness of it’s own position. Proprioception can be altered by structural and function problems in the spine that can be easily corrected with proper chiropractic care. My associate Dr. Mike did a great video that explains exactly what happens during a chiropractic adjustment if you’d like to learn more about this:
            https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5NiMZrqbRZg

If your chiropractor can’t answer “Yes” to all 7 of these questions then I’d recommend you start looking for a more highly skilled chiropractor:
            1. Do you take x-rays? (essential to find the subluxations)
            2. Do you get listings off of x-rays? (shows where to adjust)
            3. Do you take post x-rays to document structural changes made?
            4. Are your treatment goals to reshape and restore the natural curves?
            5. Are you familiar with correcting disc injuries?
            6. Do you work on post surgical patients?
            7. Can you reverse arthritis?

Until you find a corrective chiropractor, these exercises will help stimulate proper proprioception in the spine:
            https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0SgFzBs5dG0
            https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=raab224dKOc
            https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MacKyF04VzI

As for the other issues that can cause vertigo, mineral deficiencies can be easily corrected by including a high quality mineral supplement and mineral rich foods into his diet. The mineral supplement I prefer and recommend is Body Balance which is made from sea vegetables. Here’s a link to their site:
            http://lifeforce.net/

I would also suggest mineral rich foods and supplements like Himalayan pink salt, celtic sea salt, cacao, legumes, and nuts. Juicing vegetables and blending fruits is also a great way of getting more minerals into the body so I would highly recommend daily juicing and blending as well.

And one more thing that would be great for your husband is walking barefoot as much as possible, preferably on grass, dirt or sand. Walking barefoot is fantastic for stimulating proprioception and balance, plus your feet can actually absorb minerals directly from the ground.

Let me know if you have any questions, I’ll help in any way I can.

            Dr. B

          • Megan Jones says:

            H Dr B,
Another update on my husband. We’ve added juicing and living clay to detox and help heal. We’ve seen some good improvement. He is still on a pretty strict diet of plant based foods. We originally thought his symptoms were aligning with Fibromyalgia but we now think it could be Parkinsons. He stopped going to the chiropractor as he did not seem to know how to help him further. At this stage his balance and strength in his legs do not seem to be improving and he cannot do any quick movements. Have you dealt with this before and is there anything you suggest we add to help him heal?

Thank you once again for all you do.

          • Hello Megan,

First of all, it’s common for people on a strict plant based diet to not get enough healthy fats. There are plenty of healthy plant and animal based fats to choose from including coconut oil, olive oil, avocados, eggs, raw dairy, wild caught fish and much more, but the most beneficial fat, especially for people like your husband is Omega 3. So it’s important to either incorporate wild caught sardines, mackerel, or anchovies into his diet or find a supplement that contains fish oil from these fish. Omega 3 is a very powerful anti-inflammatory so it’ll help with pain, but it’s also extremely beneficial for the brain and nervous system.

As for his balance and strength issues, this is directly related to the nervous system. For balances issues like vertigo there are most likely structural and biomechanical issues in the upper cervical region as well as the bones of the skull that are causing nerve interference or impingement to the nerves that supply the inner ear. As for his legs, there are most likely underlying problems with the lumbar spine as well as the pelvis and sacrum that are causing nerve interference or nerve compression to the nerves that supply the legs. I’ve worked with many cases of Parkinson’s and all sorts of similar issues and they’ve all had major underlying problems in their spines. So it’s extremely important you find a corrective chiropractor in your area or if necessary find one in a different city.

For now, you can help stimulate the nervous system with exercising. There are several spinal exercises that will help stimulate proper spinal biomechanics. Obviously, these exercises of best done along with chiropractic care, but here they are:
            https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=raab224dKOc
            https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0SgFzBs5dG0
            https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MacKyF04VzI

Also, make sure he’s walking at least 30 minutes a day, preferably on grass, dirt, or sand. Walking will be incredibly beneficial for your husband. If he can’t walk, then try swimming. Any kind of exercise will be incredibly beneficial for stimulating his nervous system. Just simply deep diaphragmatic breathing will be great. The best types of exercises are known as “cross-crawl exercises” where you’re doing symmetrical, alternating movements such as walking. Cross-crawl exercises are the best for stimulating the nervous system, but particularly the brain.

Let me know if you have any more questions. Let’s get your husband Healthy!

          • Megan Jones says:

            Hi Dr B,
I have made an appointment for my husband to come and see you in February next year. We are from Washington and are looking forward to it. His balance and leg strength continues to be a worry. He cannot make any quick movements and going up and down stairs he is quite unsteady. As I said in a previous mail he is presenting parkinson symptoms. He has recently taken some adrenal concentrate which has helped some, he seems to be sleeping better. A friend showed me a website on low dose Naltrexone to help him, and I wondered if you had any thoughts on it?
Also if there is anything more we can do leading up to the appointment besides eating healthy and exercise?

            Thanks again

          • Yes, eating healthy and exercising will be the best options for getting him healthy. I think I explained the importance of cross-crawl exercises in our last message because these will help tremendously with his balance issues. So try to get him moving as much as possible. Simply walking 30 minutes a day, preferably barefoot on grass, dirt, or sand would be fantastic. Swimming would also be a great form of exercise. Simple cross-crawl exercises will help stimulate his brain and nervous system. You might have heard me mention cross-crawl exercises in several of my videos. These are exercises that involve repetitive, alternating movements of each side of the body. For example, walking is technically a cross-crawl exercise. Your husband can even do these kind of exercises from a sitting position while he watches TV. For people like your husband I like to use something called an exercise peddler. Here’s an example:
            https://www.amazon.com/Drive-Medical-2300-Exercise-Peddler/dp/B0018Q1BTY

He can obviously use this for his legs, but he can also set this on his lap and exercise his arms. Using something like this throughout the day for 10 minutes at a time will be absolutely fantastic for stimulating his brain.

As for Naltrexone, this is an opioid antagonist, meaning it blocks uptake of opioids. It’s usually used for helping drugs addicts or alcoholics with their dependency and addition. The side effects of this drug are incredibly terrible including depression, suicide, hepatitis (liver inflammation), liver failure, kidney damage, and so much more. So I’d recommend avoiding this toxic medication.

Let me know if you have any more questions, I’ll help in any way I can.

  31. Hi Dr. B
I previously asked you about Raynaud’s, you said a pinched nerve. I had X-ray done by my chiropractor and talked to him about it. He said there wasn’t a pinched nerve. Is there any other causes for Raynaud’s, or any way to reverse this. I cut out processed foods 3 years ago, I juice and blend everyday. I take vitamin D, B-complex, omega 3, turmeric, chlorophyl, magnesium.
I also would like to know what brand Vit.D and omega 3 you use. On one of you videos you mentioned the omega 3 was plant based.
    Any thoughts would be appreciated.
    Thank you,
    Kathy

    • Since Raynaud’s phenomenon is a problem mainly with the blood vessels you’ll want to first look for the underlying problem in the nervous system to correct this condition because your nervous system controls your circulatory system. It’s not just about a nerve being pinched but rather improper nerve communication. This can be caused by deviations in the structure of the spine or improper position of the spinal vertebrae. By correcting a structural or biomechanical issues in the spine and stimulating the nervous system you can radically improve circulation throughout your body.

You need to find a corrective chiropractor that can analyze your spine and nervous system, identify the specific problems, and correct them accordingly.

As for supplements, it’s important to remember that supplements aren’t actually that vital to the healing process. The only reason I recommend supplements is because it’s extremely difficult to get all the nutrients your body requires just from food. The best option would be to invest in high quality organically grown food in addition to making the proper lifestyle changes and getting proper chiropractic care. With that being said, the supplement brands that I recommend include, Body Balance from Life Force, Lugol’s Iodine from Ancient Purities, Spirulina and Chlorella from the Naturalnews.com store, Fish Oil from Biopharma, Vitamin C from Ester C, and vitamin D from Country life.

These are the supplements that I currently use and recommend to my patients, but keep in mind that I’m always researching and trying out different brands so this list might look very different a year from now.

Let me know if you have any more questions, I’ll help in any way I can.

  32. Thank you for the feedback. Unfortunately, my father lives no where near a corrective chiro, so what do you recommend as a tractioning device? I know you’re a fan of laying on belly, resting hands under chin to help restore cervical curve. What about laying on something?

    • For general spine health there are 4 basic exercises that will encourage faster recovery and proper bio-mechanics of the spine. There are many more exercises I give to my patients depending on their case, however, these are basic ones that everyone should be doing on a daily basis.

      1. The Neck Curve Exercise- pulling down on the lower neck while looking straight above you with a foam tube and straps (my Thera curve) or something similar. (10 of these, at least 3 times daily)

      2. The Twisting Exercise: take a wide stance, clasp your fingers together in front of your chest and twist from side to side so that you end up looking behind you with each twist, but keep your feet planted firmly. (50 full twists a day)

      3. The Spider Push Up: Lay face down on the floor and while keeping your pelvis touching the floor do a push up. As you come up, raise your eyes above you and as you come down look below you. (10 of these, 3 times daily)

      4. Pelvic Stabilization: You can buy a Trochanter support like the one from Body Sport and walk for 20 minutes a day. Or you can sit backwards in an armless chair with your legs spread out wide for at least 20 minutes at a time.

Here are a couple few demonstrating these exercises:

  33. Hi Dr B-
My father has ringing in his ears. Actually, he says it sounds more like wind chimes… It doesn’t ever stop and it’s just in one ear. He’s 62 and of course docs say there’s not much you can do…. Any ideas?

    • Ringing in the ears is commonly referred to as Tinnitus. Tinnitus comes from a problem with the nerves that supply the inner ear and can be corrected with proper corrective chiropractic care. Tinnitus is corrected by stimulating proper function of the nerves that supply the ear and correcting any underlying problems with the upper cervical spine as well as the bones of the skull. Tinnitus is also a common side effect of many medications so if he’s taking any medications he’ll need to work with his doctor to properly wean off them. So make sure your father gets to a corrective chiropractor, incorporates the proper dietary changes to ensure he’s getting sufficient minerals which can also cause inner ear issues.

Hi! I am trying to log into the forum like I have before but I’m getting a message that I do not have permission to be on this page (something similar to that). I have logged in before and even posted before and am paid up but it is not logging in. By the way I am so so very happy to have found Dr. Bergman’s info. I have seen changes in my self already but have some questions. Thank you!

    • I have my tech guy looking into the problem and I’ll let you know as soon as the problem is resolved. Is there something is particular you wanted to access on the website that I can help you with? If you wanted to ask a more question I’d be more than happy to answer it here.

    • Roberta Theriault says:

Thank you very much for your response Dr. Bergman. I have had fibromyalgia for 22 yrs and was on 4 different medicatiions which includes 1 for hypothyroid. With following your instruction in your you tube videos, your web site and your book on Fibromyalgia, I have cut down to 3 meds and half doses on those. I am so very grateful to you and now have hope I have never had before to eventually return to a much more active lifestyle. I have been going to chiropractors since age 16 with mostly great results and have just switched over to someone here who is suppose to be more corrective and holistic then who I was seeing. My 1st appt with her is this Tuesday. I have a bone spur in my neck and mid back and bulging disc problems around L4 and L5. The lower back problems and the fibro are my most concern. With reading your book on Fibro, I have been juicing, fermenting, I’m eating almost completely organic. also have mostly, the last 3 wks, gone gluten free. In this whole process, when is it best to do the cleanse you talk about and should I eventually also do the 21 day metabolism repair? Thanks so much!!

      • Hello Roberta,

Proper chiropractic care is definitely the missing link in your healing process. With corrective chiropractic care your bulging discs issues as well as your bone spurs will be resolved. Remember, discs can regenerate and bone spurs can be absorbed back into the body. In order to correct these issues you need to find a corrective chiropractor that can analyze your spine and nervous system, identify the specific problems, and correct them accordingly. Make sure you find a chiropractor with the skills necessary to reshape the structure of the spine, restore normal biomechanics, and stimulate the nervous system to promote healing and normal function. Please make sure this new chiropractor fits all of these criteria and correctly answers those 7 questions.

As for the cleansing and detoxing, I’d recommend you hold off on any cleansing programs until your spinal issues have been corrected. It’s very important to get your nervous system functioning correctly and start weaning off of any medications you’re still on before you do one of these cleanses. You’ll also receive many more benefits from cleansing if your nervous system is working properly.

Let me know if you have any more questions and let me know how it goes with your new chiropractor.
        Dr. B

        • Roberta Theriault says:

Dr. Bergman, Thank you so much for the information. I do have 1 other question at this time and that is what is your opinion about using intersegmental traction tables to help disc problems. I have had treatments before with them. I found the treatment helpful but not as far as fixing the problem. Thanks again!

          -Roberta
          Bozeman, MT

          • Traction tables, inversion tables, and traction machines can provide some temporary pain relief however, they don’t offer any long term correction. So the best option would be to find a corrective chiropractor that can analyze your spine and nervous system, identify the specific problems, and correct them accordingly. Through specific chiropractic techniques like the Flexion Distraction Technique you can regenerate the discs in the spine. So if you haven’t found a corrective chiropractor yet, you can use those 7 questions to find the best possible chiropractor in your area:
If they answer at least 5 with a YES, then they are good to go.

            1. Do you take x-rays? (essential to find the subluxations)
            2. Do you get listings off of x-rays? (shows where to adjust)
            3. Do you take post x-rays to document structural changes made?
            4. Are your treatment goals to reshape and restore the natural curves?
            5. Are you familiar with correcting disc injuries?
            6. Do you work on post surgical patients?
            7. Can you reverse arthritis?

Also, the exercise demonstrated in the video below with rehydrate the discs. This exercise combined with proper chiropractic care will completely restore normal function to the discs and reverse any degeneration.

This exercise will also be fantastic for lumbar spine and disc issues:

I have problems logging in to the forum, the error says “The requested user ‘mgse123′ could not be found”, I’ve even tried my email address it shows the same error. I suspect that the account is not yet created on the forum site which probably has to created manually by the admin. My reason to join your website is because of insomnia, it is all started at the end of April last year and here is a description of the events that led to this:

    1. April 2015: I had a mild cold, red left ear, neck swelling, low energy, went to see a doctor, prescribed an antibiotic Biaxin XL and I had to take with meals. But I took one of them at 10:00 PM, dropped my wife at work and around 11:45 PM went to bed. From that moment throughout the night until 6 AM I had all kinds of spasms all over the body, could not sleep at all. When falling asleep I would wake up immediately because of my body jerking. I was terrified by what happened, it could have been a Herxheimer reaction, I did not know. The next morning I took another one at 10:00 AM and I have started to develop a right leg paralysis, I was dumbfounded never had any issues like this before. I could not sleep either because of this, I took melatonin (3-6 mg) to help me fall asleep. Really bad constipation, started to poorly digest the foods.

    2. May 2015: I was also stressed out about a front tooth that had a cyst (infection) that needed to be cleared. I had three options: extract it, root canal retreatment or surgery. I have started to stress about all three options and along with my sleep problem, things have aggravated. I have taken melatonin again, but I could sleep (dream) for only 1-2 hour(s) and with time I developed tolerance. I have also tried all kinds of herbs to help me sleep at least 3 hours (valerian, ashwagandha, 5-HTP, passion flower etc) but it did not improve at all, actually it made it worse. My work also in IT programming took its tool, being involved in a project that had a deadline of two weeks and coupled with my insomnia and tooth stress, I have begun to enter a depression state, which I have not known before. According to Dr. Julia Ross (The Mood Cure, p.238) some depressed people become more depressed on melatonin. I have had nights with no sleep at all, not even for 5 mins (not kidding here), my heart racing, negative thoughts, sweating a lot, neck and shoulder pains, my energy has been decreasing at an alarming rate. Meanwhile I have seen my doctor a couple of times describing my symptoms, he wanted me to do some blood tests. They came good, but my health has deteriorated to the point of losing weight, losing concentration, muscle fatigue and cognition.

    3. June 2015: By this time, I took 4 weeks off to take care of myself, I could not work at all in the depression and sleep deprived state I was. I have always eaten well, as much organic as possible, but my digestion was poor and things were not looking good. My doctor had no answers to my symptoms, he suggested to do a liver check and another set of blood tests (pyroluria, HIV etc). Again they came negative, my liver was in good health, at this point I could not leave my home, I could not answer phone calls, I could not socialize, I have lost interest in everything, my energy levels were very low. I could barely talk, my wife started to really freak out. She thought that this is all in my head, she told me to start using affirmations and put them all over the apartment so that I could read them and avoid all the negative thinking. Have seen other doctors, they prescribed antidepresants and sleeping pills (Trazodone etc), run out of options. I opted to take a sleeping pill for two weeks, it had let me “sleep” for 2 hours at most, but internally I was really fatigued physically, mentally and emotionally. I could not cry, could not laugh, I was really exhausted, could keep my eyes up when looking at someone, my body was craving for a little bit of sleep. The days have passed and I ended up in the ER, very weak, lost 30 pounds (from 188 pounds), the assistant said it could be a “burnout”, the doc checked my stimuli response (knee, elbow) no response, then asked me if I have had any suicidal thoughts, wanted me to do a MRI and chest x-ray, but I refused, my feeling guts told me not to trust these guys and I left the hospital, he prescribed just a sleeping pill. I had really bad feelings being in a hospital, it is not the place to be ever. I could not work anymore, my wife could not taker care of me, we decided it is better to leave the country for a while (both immigrants) and see my parents. As parents they were all worried and wanted me to come back home, which I did. Back home, my sister knew about my symptoms and made an appointment with a psychiatrist. All I wanted was just sleep, my body was in sleep deprivation for almost 8 weeks. As expected for these cases, the psy doc prescribed me Cymbalta, Seroquel, Trittico, Nootropil, Depakine and ALA (alpha lipoic acid). Always my heart was racing when going to bed, I had negative thoughts, no future etc, Trittico was used to calm me down and Seroquel (200mg) to help me sleep.

    4. Dec 2015: I took all of them according to her prescription for a period of 6 months. I did really help my sleep, at least I could sleep for a couple of hours, feeling a bit refreshed in the morning, less negative thoughts, calm during the day, gained my weight back. Then I have stopped taking the meds, except Seroquel which was to only one to help me sleep. I have decided to tamper with and trying to withdraw from it. I went down to 60-70mg and kept that way, it helped me sleep for 4 hours and but had problems getting asleep again. It just happened that for a number of days I did not take it at all (NOT in a row), and those days were bad was before, no sleep at all. In the meantime, I made sure that B-complex, cod liver oil (Icelandic), vitamin C were not missing from my diet.

    5. Feb 2016: I still take Seroquel (60-70mg) per night, otherwise I sleep horrible and not having the energy to go through the day. Very hard to withdraw from it, unless I solve the main cause of my insomnia.

I was reading an article on sott.net about “Sleep and the circadian rhythm of life” where it listed one of your videos about sleep (Deep sleep for health) and that got me to your website. I have started to use those steps to fix the problem (no TV, drink, meal two hourse before bed, journaling, reading, 10-10:30PM bedtime) but also taking Seroqeul. Two weeks ago I did a blood test for testosteron, free testosteron, ACTH, DHEA-S, Estradiol, Insulin, Progesteron and a saliva test for cortisol levels, thinking that after this insomnia ordeal my adrenals must be really low (AF). Here are the result:

    Insulin 9.6 µU/ml (2.6 – 24.9)
    Estriol 0.201 nmol/L
    DHEA-S 229.8 µg/dL (88.9 – 427)
    ACTH 20.71 pg/mL (7.2 – 63.3)
    Testosteron 11.15 nmol/L (9.9 – 27.8)
Free Testosteron 6.83 pg/mL (19-55 years old: 1 – 28.28) <– as you can low free testosteron, may explain my low sex drive

    Cortisol levels:
    8:00 AM: 2.2 µg/L (6-10: < 6.7)
    2:00 PM: < 1.1 µg/L (16-20: < 3.5)
    midnight: < 1.1 µg/L (24: < 4.1)

As you can see my cortisol levels are low which may explain an adrenal fatigue, and low nighttime cortisol levels can cause sleep disturbances (Adrenal fatigue: the 21st century stress syndrome by James Wilson). In his list of steps to improve sleep he also includes adrenal extract first if you suffer moderate or severe adrenal fatigue, also taking 1-4 tablets of hypothalamus extras (accurately testing for hypothalamus functions is complicated) and 10-40 mg of manganese before bedtime to see if sleep improves. What do you think about these extracts ?

As I read your articles and posts you mentioned about the Sympathetic Dominance state which helps short-term but because of physical, emotional and chemical stress you may stay in this state for too long (causing sleep deprivation) unless those stresses are assessed and dealt with. I think I am in that state right now (heart racing at bedtime and throughout the night), and my question is: is there any way to switch back to parasympathetic state (relax and digest) without checking your nervous system by a corrective chiropractor ? I would also like to have a phone or skype consultation with you to solve this sleep issue once and for all (no more sleep aids), as soon as possible. I have searched the internet for a chiropractor and I found one Dr. Dr. Lou Jacobs who has a cabinet in Romania (my current residence) and according to Intermedias Bucharest he will be there between Feb 8th-Mar 2nd 2016. Do you know him ? Should I call and ask those 7 questions to see if he would be qualified as a corrective chiropractor ? Should I do this first before taking adrenal or hypothalamus extracts ? What do you suggest ?

I would really appreciate for any response you may have. God bless you for being such a great doctor, funny and wonderful soul.
    Regards,
    Mihai

    • Hello Mihai,

That was a lot of information so let me break this down so I can answer all your questions. First of all, in order to post on the forum you need to be both registered for the owners-guide site and the forum. Currently, you’re only registered for the site and not the forum. If you go to the owners-guide home page and click on “Login In” and follow all the instructions, then everything should work properly.

Now, I’ve had a great deal of experience with cases like yours and in every case they’ve experienced a complete reversal of their symptoms and have been able to regain their optimal health. You may have been exposed to vaccinations, antibiotics, toxins, and possibly many medications over the years, so the first step to healing is always detoxing your body because all of these can negatively effect your organ systems and especially the nervous system. Check out my latest video on detoxing for detail info on how to properly detox your body:
      https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4-JrAoBoa2E

The next step is to incorporate proper diet and lifestyle changes to strengthen your immune system and give your body everything it needs to heal properly. Start by switching to an organic, plant based diet with plenty of healthy fats like coconut oil and olive oil. You’ll also want to avoid any packaged or processed food as well as any meats because these are loaded with toxins which directly effect the health and quality of your body.
Check out the videos below to learn about the proper diet/lifestyle changes you should start making as well as a detailed video on juicing/blending:

The most important part of the healing process will be correcting any underlying issues with your spine and stimulating the nervous system to promote healing as well as normal function of your organ systems and body. To do this, you need to find a corrective chiropractor that can analyze your spine and nervous system, identify the specific problems, and correct them accordingly. Structural and bio-mechanical problems in the spine can cause nerve interference or nerve impingement which cause dysfunction of your organs and interrupt the communication between the brain and body. By restoring proper nerve flow and communication to the body you’ll see massive changes in your health. This is what I do every day in my office and I see incredible changes with every single patient.

If you’ve seen my videos on sleep, I discuss exactly how to correct all underlying problems that negatively effect sleep. You’re absolutely right in thinking that a Sympathetic Dominant state is the major cause of your insomnia. I’ve explained the Autonomic Nervous system in many of my videos on Youtube, however, here’s a short explanation:

The Autonomic Nervous system is divided into 2 parts, you have the Parasympathetic Nervous System which controls rest, healing, and the digestive system.

Focus on eliminating those 3 stressors to start healing your body properly.

This is where a corrective chiropractor will come in handy during your healing process.

The goal here is to get your body out of that Sympathetic Dominant state and back to a Parasympathetic state of healing.

Let me know if you have any more questions, I’ll help in any way I can. Let’s get you Healthy!

      • Thank you, Dr. Bergman.

According to your advice I was able to join the forum. I will be starting the healing process by detoxifying my body, doing a 3-7 day juice fast. The hardest part will be finding a corrective chiropractor around my area (Romania), I have found only two, Dr. Lou Jacobs and Dr. Marian Bancila, none of them do x-rays. Dr. Lou Jacobs is an american chiropractor, his clinic is down in Portland (http://www.drloujacobs.com/who-we-treat/), he travels around the globe and he is currently in Romania treating some patients. I can make an appointment with him, but he uses a thermoscan to diagnose his patients. What do you think ? Do you know any chiropractors in Europe ?

        • Unfortunately I don’t know any chiropractors personally in Europe, however, I’ve heard good things about Dr. Lou Jacobs so this might be your best option. I would definitely suggest make an appointment with him and at least giving a try. If you’re not seeing any results or positive changes in your health within the first couple weeks of care then you can try a different chiropractor.

  37. Hi John,

Im feeling ok, so far so good. The exercises have helped. Im still studying Herbalism and made my first 2 extracts. I have to take a home course in Anatomy & Physiology as well as some others, but i think its well worth it. The Arctic region does have some very beneficial Herbs, so i want to be able to take advantage of that.

I found a video on youtube, which is excellent, although i had a tougn time watching some of the children that were shown and actually broke down on a few when they showed the babies reactions to vaccines. I dont know how anyone can handle it. Here’s the link …………
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K1m3TjokVU4

The name of it is Silent Epidemic; The Untold Story of Vaccines Movie dire

Interviews with many professionals. If you havent already seen it, its well worth the watch. But some of the photos of the babies and children are disturbing.

    Hey dr.B it’s Micah.
My hair is still falling out all over the place. Ive noticed it’s got much thinner, I’m worried it won’t grow back to the way it was. Often times when I poop it’s not brown it kinda just looks like chewed up food,

today my left hand seems to hurt for no reason I’m sure it will go away.
Protein in my urine seemed to come back for about a week, I didnt worry since my body isn’t stupid. And it went away.
I want to go back to work I think it will get my body back into homeostaces I’m just worried Im going to be really slow. And feel like napping all day
What should I do about the poop and what’s causing my hair to constantly fall out like this? It will grow back right? Because cancer patients get their hair back.

    • Hi Micah,
You’re absolutely correct, your body is not stupid. I wouldn’t worry about your poop, it’s a problem if you are not moving any bowl. As long as your eating a proper diet, mostly plant base and organic you should be on your way to recovery. Stress will cause hair loss. Your hair will grow back, it will take some time before it gets back to the fullness it was.

  41. Hello Dr. Bergman, what can I do to get the swelling to leave from my elbows sir? Also, what are good exercises to do for workout on my joints? Thanks, T-N-T

    • Hello Dr. Bergman,

I just read your response when I wrote you with concerns about what was going on with me and how I jump off the boat and now back on eating the right things regardless of the stress level in my office so I am out of the temptation office (snickers and bubble gum). Thanks for not being hard on me for messing up. I will be attending another chiropractor on Monday which has a special for $49 that takes xrays and examine you which I have not receive any pre xrays. I was venting because it is God’s will that I be healthy and it is my desire as well and it is going to happen in the name Lord Jesus Christ. I will keep you posted. I informed the present chiropractor doctor that I see about you and I believe he said he heard of you but don”t wand to offend him because I ask him will he be will to talk to you. How should he get in touch with you?

Once again Dr. Bergman, thanks for being a blessing to all of us.

God Bless you and love you much,

      T-N-T

      • Don’t worry about “falling off the wagon” we all do it and it’s a normal part of life. Remember, that these junk foods you’re craving are more addictive than most illegal drugs like heroin or cocaine so don’t be so hard on yourself when you’re going through “withdrawals”.

If you’re chiropractor would like to get a hold of me or speak to me directly they can either call my office (714-962-5891) or they can set up a Phone/Skype consultation at https://www.owners-guide.com/online-consultation/

    • Good morning Dr. B,

This is T-N-T letting you know my chiropractor would like to talk to you. His name is Dr. Pallotti and his number is 540-775-2250. He took x-rays of me and my husband that he could probably send you a copy of it. Please teach him how to reverse RA and to take the pain, stiffness, swelling away in the name Lord Jesus Christ, so be it!

      Thanks Dr. B,

  42. Hello Dr. Bergman,

I am seeking an Chiropractor for a nerve test and the one I spoke with does not provide that service. Is there anything you can provide me with like information that I can tell them so I can get the test done. Also, what to do about swelling in some of the fingers and elbows. Have a bless day sir, T-N-T

    • Hi T-N-T,
Swelling is due to pinched nerves in your neck and upper thoracic spine and is easy to correct. You’ve got limited blood circulation that can be from forward head carriage and that can be seen on an x-ray so you need to get your nervous system checked by a corrective Chiropractor. Below I have listed our 7 questions to find a good one, If they answer at least 5 with a YES, then they are good to go.
Let me know how you’re doing. Dr. B

      • Good morning Dr. Bergman,

I just want you to know God has blessed me with an Chiropractor that he is a nutritional doctor that believe in God’s natural way of healing the body than putting medication into your system. He also been working on my subluxation realignment and adjustments. I thank God for answering my prayers because I was going to come see you in California but did not know I needed ongoing treatment so my nerve system can be corrected so I can continue to walk in my healing and be a testimony to many, in the name Lord Jesus Christ. I will keep you posted on my continue progress of healing being manifested in my body. Praise report already, my elbows that was really swollen has gone down immensely. My right elbow is down to normal size and my left elbow that was big like a tennis ball has truly went down that when I seen my doctor he was excited with me. I am so grateful and thankful for your hard work as becoming knowledgeable about all the information that you have shared to help us to walk in divine health and healing. To God be all the Glory!

Also, Dr. Bergman I have a 3 month old grand daughter that has eczema all over her body can you please help assist me with what kind of treatment that will help her especially being so young.

Thank you for allowing God to use you to become educated with the knowledge and wisdom and to share it with His people. I speak the blessings of God to overtake you and that you will continue to prosper and be in good success and that He bless you exceeding and abundantly above all you could ever ask or think Dr. Bergman.

        God Bless you sir,

        Love you much, T-N-T

        • Hello T-N-T,

I’m so glad to hear you’re getting proper chiropractic care. As for your grand daughter, skin issues like eczema develop as a result of toxic exposure to antibiotics, vaccinations, medications, and toxins in the environment or food. These toxins negatively effect the digestive system which decrease your body’s ability to break down proteins which are used to make new skin. Most people also lack the essential ingredients required for healthy skin like vitamins, minerals, omega 3, essential amino acids, and healthy fats.

To get started, you need to get your granddaughter to a highly skilled chiropractor to stimulate the nervous system and promote healing. If the child has been vaccinated or is on any sort of medication or steroid cremes the parents need to begin the process of detoxing immediately. Also, if the mother is breastfeeding she needs to make sure her body is as healthy as possible and avoid any sort of formula feeding at all costs.

Let me know if you or the parents have any questions, I’ll help in any way I can.

          Dr. B.

          • Hello Dr. Bergman

I need to ask you when you are under a good Chiropractor does it seems things are a little worst before getting better? I am going through the realignment and being treated for the subluxations but feeling some discomfort in my mid part of my back and left leg and more swelling in my hands and some discomfort in my wrist and feet. Please help me understand some things for I know in the process when you are getting healed some times it seems as though it get worst is it normal. He has this back machine that he goes up and down on my back and my tail bone it seems like it just stirred other things up that wasn’t happening at first sir. Just making sure if this is the norm. Please let me know sir.

Also, my grand daughter is only 3 months old drinking formula what kind of supplements they can give her since she is so young and what can a chiropractor do for her at a very young age sir.

            Please let me know.

            Have a bless day!

            T-N-T

          • Hello,

It’s completely normal to be sore or uncomfortable the first week or so of chiropractic care. You have to keep in mind that each adjustment is causing inflammation which is extremely beneficial in the long term, but sometimes very uncomfortable in the short term. You’ll definitely want to make sure you’re drinking plenty of water throughout the day and especially after each treatment. Water is extremely important in the healing process and it will help to rehydrate your intervertebral discs. You’ll also want to incorporate as many anti-inflammatory foods as possible to help with pain relief and speed up the healing process.

As for your grand daughter, I would recommend getting her to your chiropractor as soon as possible. Chiropractic care is extremely beneficial for the developmental process and if your grand daughter was born in a hospital, she’ll need chiropractic care immediately because hospital births are extremely traumatic to the spine. As long as the chiropractor has experience with children it’s 100% safe to treat children from the first day of their lives.

Now for supplements, I first have to recommend that the parents breastfeed your grand daughter because this is a much healthier source of nutrients for the baby. Most formulas aren’t very nutritious and some can contain harmful chemicals or toxins, but her mothers breast milk will supply all the necessary nutrients for proper development as long as the mother is healthy.

Let me know if you have any more questions, I’ll help in any way I can.
            Dr. B

          • Good morning Dr. Bergman,

Please let me know how long will it take for the swelling in my fingers and pain in my wrist and thumb to be totally gone. I have been juicing a lot from the beginning just stopped eating meat totally in November 2015 but on my anniversary and husbands and Valentine day I had wild caught salmon. Just invested in a bike that also workout your arms as well as your cardio and legs. I am ready to be done with the symptoms of RA enough is enough. Also here is a list of nerve levels he circle due to subluxations C1, C2, C3, C5, C6, T3, T4, T8, T9, T10, L5, S1 but some of the realignment and adjustments has cause some discomfort as he works on getting them normal. Please let me know. I don’t want any more pain and by the stripes of Jesus I am healed.

            Thanks Dr. Bergman,

            T-N-T

          • Hello,

The swelling and pain may take some time to heal and remember it’s taken years of punishment and toxins for your body to develop this condition so it may take some time to completely heal your body and restore normal function. If you’re combing the proper diet and lifestyle changes along with proper corrective chiropractic care you should see a reduction in symptoms within the first couple weeks of care if the doctor knows what they’re doing. If you’re not seeing any results from your chiropractor I would suggest finding a more highly skilled doctor. Also, I’m always available to speak with your chiropractor and explain my treatment protocols and techniques.

As for the specific location of the mis alignment, it’s important to realize that it’s not necessarily a specific segment that’s related to RA. Any misalignments anywhere in the spine can cause the body to go into a Sympathetic Dominant state which inhibits function of your organ systems. The best option would be to find a chiropractor that can analyze your entire spine and identify any areas where there are improper structural force loads, improper biomechanics, and/or nerve interference.

Let me know if you have any more questions and keep me updated on your progress.
            Dr. B

          • Hello Dr. Bergman,

My husband had bronchitis and they gave him the z-pack antibiotics, steroids, cough medicine and after four (4) months later he still wheezes and especially after being in the night air. He use to have asthma when he was younger so his doctor want to send him to a lung doctor tomorrow for further diagnosis. Please let us know what you suggest naturally for him to do. He also goes to my chiropractor and this is his last week for realignment and adjustments and than he will be on a maintenance schedule of every two (2) weeks instead of twice a week. PS I will soon be there.

Thanks Dr. John Bergman God Bless you,

            T-N-T

          • Antibiotics are incredibly damaging to the body so it’s absolutely vital that your husband take the appropriate steps to strengthen his immune system immediately. Make sure he’s drinking plenty of fresh vegetable juice and blended smoothies which are loaded with healthy bacteria and enzymes. He also needs to supplement correctly with plenty of vitamin D and vitamin C with bioflavinoids. I would also have your chiropractor take a second look at his upper thoracic and lower cervical region of the spine because 100% of my patients with Asthma have nerve interference in these areas. Usually these patients experience relief within the first few days of treatment.

        • Hello Dr. John Bergman this is T-N-T. I went to see an orthopedic doctor regarding my left knee and he said I had a little arthritis on the side of my knee and that my cartilage is barely there and that is why my knee is hurting very painful. Bone almost rubbing together. How can my cartilage be restored?

          Please let me know sir.

God Bless you and good night!

          T-N-T

          • Dr. B

I have a stationary bike that I get on twice a day which works my legs and arms please let me know what can help my joints to be totally restored.

            Thanks,

            T-N-T

          • One of the best ways to regenerate joints is to walk barefoot at least 20 minutes every day, preferably on grass or dirt. Not only is this fantastic for promoting joint regeneration and proper mechanics, but it will also create a grounding effect and help you absorb minerals/nutrients through the soil. This is obviously more doable in warm, tropical climates. I also recommend getting any type of barefoot or thin soled shoe such as the Merrell Barefoot or the Vibram 5 finger shoes. These type of shoes are fantastic for allowing the feet to function properly while still protecting your feet from the ground.

I also have many videos on exercises which will radically improve your overall joint health. Check out the videos below and make sure you incorporate these exercises into your daily routine:

Let me know if you have any more questions.

          • Good morning Dr. B

I had to ask you another important question. Should any joint pain or swelling in other parts of my fingers should happen if I am basically eating just vegetables. The Chiropractor that I am with now states eating wild caught salmon but not often is a good source of omega 3 oils but you state to stay away from it totally. I started last year around the late summer and was not able to overcome meat till late November 2015 and working in the position I am in is very demanding sometimes not able to juice but will get a salad or fresh kale/spinach and some brown rice to it. I have lost over 30lbs need new clothes. I know you will be able to share with me what can restore my cartilage in my joints especially in my left knee so bone will not rub against each other. Also here is a list of nerve levels he circle due to subluxations C1, C2, C3, C5, C6, T3, T4, T8, T9, T10, L5, S1 but some of the realignment and adjustments has cause some discomfort as he works on getting them normal.

I will talk to you later Dr. B

God Bless you and I am the heal and will tell the world how Jesus healed me and He worked through you

            Love you much

          • First of all, it’s completely normal to be sore and uncomfortable after getting proper chiropractic care. Each adjustment/treatment causes inflammation which can cause soreness or pain. This inflammation is absolutely necessary because it triggers the healing process.

As for omega 3, I highly recommend an animal based, Omega 3 supplement. Of course you can get Omega 3’s from certain types of fish however, most fish are loaded with mercury and other toxins. In addition to Omega 3 supplementation you can incorporate many different superfoods into your diet that will dramatically improve your health and especially joint regeneration. Superfoods like goji berries, coconuts (meat/oil/water), cacao, maca, spirulina, and chlorella are all packed with amazing benefits and are fantastic for someone with a busy lifestyle. I like to throw all my superfoods in with a smoothie with fresh fruits in the morning to save time. Also, collagen is amazing for joint regeneration. I recommend the Great Lakes Gelatin (collagen).

Keep up the good work and keep me updated on your progress!
            Dr. B

          • If you’re able to bend your knee and straighten it, then it’s not “bone on bone”. The majority of people with arthritis or degeneration get incorrectly diagnosed by doctors. If you implement the leg swinging exercise with weights along with the proper dietary changes and corrective chiropractic care you’ll be able to regenerate the cartilage and reverse arthritis. This is why I always take pre treatment and post treatment x-rays, so we can monitor the regeneration of cartilage and reversal of arthritis.

          • Good morning Dr. Bergman,

This is T-N-T confessing that I messed up and have to get back on track again. The chiropractor that I am currently being treated by incorporates meats to my diet and I been eating wild caught salman and fish well and I had one organic piece of chicken. The wild caught salman I been eating for a couple of months after I have came to the point that I no longer will eat meat until all symtoms of RA was gone and to never return again in my life, in the name Lord Jesus. Also, working in finances with our busy time of preparing the budget I been at my desk working without getting any healthy food snacked on bbq corn chips, chocolate bite size snickers, bubble gum and on the way home I stop by the icecream place with my husband at the new Brusters Icecream and ate one scoop of butter pecan icecream with extra pecans. Bad enough I am praying for my swelling in my joints, stiffness and pain be gone and I just jumped right off the boat like Jonah and went for it. I prayed and ask God to forgive me for eating the wrong foods and putting it in my body and help me for this has been going on too long and I should by now seen some type of release. Well I did! He did bless and heal me because both of my elbows was swollen like tennis balls and now they are regular again. I been under this chiropractor and my top my neck where he uses that machine for the subluxations bone area swelled up and I feel the discomfort. It has been over a week and I still have some discomfort and will be going back to him but really don’t want him to touch me in that area and down on my pelvic when he rub that machine it cause me to hurt and walk in a lot of pain for more than a couple of days. I thought I made a right choice by choosing him seem like I am hurting more. I wish you were in our area. Is there any information that I can share with him that you can provide me to give him just in case if he isn’t knowledgeable in some of the areas. I been trying for a while just believing God for my healing and it is going to happen soon.

Please help me as much as you can Dr. Bergman I am ready to really do it the right way and so it can be done. Temptation of things I use to enjoy can no longer be apart of me because it has cause me to experience RA and it is time for all the symtoms and pain to be gone forever. Have to go to a meeting will communicate with you later. Is it normal for him not to take any xrays, or blood work to do a pre and post analysis of my improvement?

Thanks Dr. Bergman for taking the time out and helping all of us may God continue to bless you exceeding and abundantly above all you could ever ask or think!

            T-N-T

          • Hello TNT,

I’m always open to working with other doctors. I can help train and teach this doctor my methods of treatment which are extremely effective.

The best option would be to find a more knowledge and highly skilled chiropractor that’s focused on correction. This is why it’s very important to take pre and post treatment x-rays. In my clinic we always take pre treatment x-rays to analyze the spine and identify which areas need to be corrected. Then after 60 treatments we take a post x-ray to analyze the patients process. There isn’t any other way to properly monitor if the patient is indeed healing and correction is occurring. Either your doctor needs to change his methods of treatment or you need to find a better chiropractor.

I’ll help in any way I can, Let’s get you Healthy!

            God Bless

          • Dr. Bergman, is there any live teachings you have that I can tune in since I am a member or only through you tube? Please let me know very much interested.

            Good night!

          • Every week on Tuesday from 7-8pm I speak at my clinic in Huntington Beach, California. These weekly seminars are open to the public and are filmed and put up on Youtube. I also do a weekly broadcast on Extreme Health Radio which you can listen to live by visiting their website. And usually every few months I’ll do a live webinar like we did on the last cruise we went on.

          • Good morning Dr. B,

This is T-N-T letting you know that I have to get back on the right path again. For a month or so I have a great-great Aunt that my husband and I had to take her to the hospital to find out that she has PAD in her legs and feet and it has cause her to have dry gangrene in her feet especially her toes. She just turned 90 and how can this be cured?

Not long after helping her my grandmother was rushed to the hospital and they said she has COPD in her lungs and she has been a diabetic what can help her she is 86.

Going on about a month or so has caused me to eat things that I have stopped eating so I will have to pay my daughter to make my juices for me and go back drinking two (2) 32oz mason jars of greens, celery, cucumber, apples, carrots and tumeric a day. I notice my fingers are more swollen now than they have been and have to work them to move them. I have to be done with this no longer can it be apart of my life not good. I lost over 40lbs by juicing and eating raw vegatables but not trying to lose anymore weight but maintain where I am. I have to walk but with work and being my great great aunt’s power of attorney/advocate it is a lot I need a minute for me.

The first chiropractor I was seeing applied the adjuster to my neck bone and it has not been the norm with some discomfort but he never took any x-rays or ran any test just started adjusting me but the new chiropractor I am seeing now took x-rays befores starting any treatments. I might need you to speak with him so you can guide him don’t need them to hurt me anymore not cool. I realize some of the things he was telling me was a lot of what I was dealing with was from my past child hood when I was being molested, abused, rejected by both parents is what cause the trauma and torment in my life and the reason of what I am dealing with now. I have truly practice forgiveness and just love regardless of was said or done to me I had to let it go. I should not continue to feel discomfort in my feet, hands, fingers, and my knees. I know Jesus is the healer and my deliverer and He Loves me enough to do it and with proper guidance and direction on putting the right foods in my body will help me.

God Bless you and look to hearing from you soon!

            Have a bless day!

            T-N-T

          • Hello T-N-T,

First of all, PAD is a sign there has been a problem with long term toxic blood. The best option would be to have her make the proper dietary and lifestyle changes necessary to generate healthy blood. Water seems very simple but it’s extremely effective for thinning the blood and improving healthy blood flow and since most people are constantly dehydrated, this is a good place to start. Juicing vegetables and blending fruits is also fantastic for everyone over 50.
Check out this video to learn more about juicing:
            https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=INrXthOFQtU

As for you grandmother, both diabetes and COPD are correctable with the proper dietary and lifestyle changes along with corrective chiropractic care. Remember, diabetes is correctable within 30 days. Check out the movie “Simply Raw, Curing Diabetes in 30 days” which is available for free on Youtube. Also, I’ve had incredible success with my COPD patients and if you’ve seen my videos on COPD or lung health then you have an idea of how to properly treat this condition. The first step to healing and correction is to find the underlying problems which caused the development of COPD. There are many factors which can contribute to COPD and lung problems, however, the most common problem that I’ve seen is a compromised nerve supply. The nerves that supply the diaphragm originate from the cervical region of your spine at C3, C4, and C5. So any degeneration, arthritis, or neck issues can directly effect lung function. Also, compromised nerves in the thoracic spine can negatively effect lung function. The good news is that all these underlying issues can be corrected with proper chiropractic care. By restoring proper structure and biomechanics to the spine and stimulating the nervous system you can promote proper lung function.

The best option for both your Aunt and Grandmother would be find a corrective chiropractor to stimulate the nervous system to promote healing and normal function. If you like the chiropractor you’re currently seeing, I can teach him everything I know about healing and chiropractic techniques. I’ve trained thousands of chiropractors over the years and I was a teacher for 8 years. I’m always available for Skype and phone consultations if your doctor would like to speak to me directly.

Also, if you’re still struggling with traumatic events in the past, I highly recommend the Demartini Method which was developed by Dr. John Demartini. He has many videos and books that discuss his method, but I highly recommend going to the Demartini Breakthrough Experience which is a 2 day seminar that’s designed to help people resolve any and all emotionally charged events in their lives. This is the most logical and most effective technique I’ve ever come across for helping people truly overcome and resolve traumatic events to the point they’re left with absolutely no emotions except Love and Gratitude.

Let me know if you have any questions, I’ll help in any way I can.

            Dr. B

      • Good morning Dr. John Bergman,

Once the nerves in my neck is corrected I should see and feel the difference in my fingers and wrist regarding the swelling, some stiffness and pain?

        T-N-T

        • Yes, correcting the nerve supply is definitely one of the major keys to healing, however, you’ll also have to incorporate all the necessary dietary and lifestyle changes to completely restore normal function. This includes a diet with plenty of anti-inflammatory and nutrient rich foods as well as proper exercise for muscle balance which is what I explain in my videos on carpal tunnel syndrome.

In case you missed it, here’s that video:

  43. TheMdub27 says:

Hi john its Micah again. My hair is still falling out all over my body. If it really is adrenal fatigue what is causing the adrenal fatigue? Inflammation right? What is inflamed? What’s broken? I’m always tired too. After I eat a meal I get really tired I’ll have to go lay down. I’ll crash sometimes too. What causes that? Digestion takes lots of energy right? Should I just juice and blend? Taking enzymes didn’t really stop the fatigue after eating. I take vitamins and minerals too

    • TheMdub27 says:

So yeah should I juice and blend diet? If so how many cups of juice should I drink a day? Are peanut butter and almond butter okay? And Can I still come to the health talks?

    • Hi Micah one of the best approaches to a healthy diet is metabolic typing and this will allow you to listen to your body and get yourself the nutrients that you require. You may need healthy fats and healthy animal products such as raw dairy or sardines anchovies. Monitor how you eat and how you feel after you eat if your body is utilizing the nutrients then you should have plenty of energy, if you’re not utilizing the nutrients then you will be tired after you eat some basics to clean your arteries and to help to keep your blood healthy start with 60 ounces of veggie juice per day with lots of apples and carrots. Avoid peanut butter and almond butter…too many mold properties in them. And yes please come to the health talks I miss you my brother.

      Dr B

  44. Hi Doc- I went through a period of REALLY high stress about 5 years ago and my thyroid went haywire. I’ve been on naturethriod ever since. But after a few years of healing my adrenals ( which they look really good, finally) my TSH has been in-between 0.5 and 1.2 ish. And my t3(free) has been around 3.5 to 4.5 (higher)
Do you think i could be over medicated? Would you back off? Also cab being over-medicated cause weight gain? If so, how?

    • Hi Kate, under periods of high stress the adrenals start to work harder in the thyroid naturally slows down so to look at the thyroid and pituitary has a problem let’s solve the real problem. Yes medications can cause you to gain weight in fact all medications do only one of two things they block a receptor site on the cell or they poison an enzyme . So we need to get you healthy by getting your nervous system checked by corrective chiropractor once your nervous system is restored then you may not need the medications you’re taking. Sick people need medications, however if a healthy person takes those same drugs they get sick, so as we get you healthy we need to talk to the doctor that gave you the drugs because he needs to stop them as you get healthier. Let me know how you’re doing you will get your health back. Dr B

  45. Michel Brosseau says:

I have a patient going to The Villages of Lady Lake Florida. Is there a corrective chiropractor in the areaÉ

    • Hi Doc,
I don’t know of any corrective Chiropractors in Florida but use our 7 questions to find a good one because getting your nervous system working correctly is vital.

  47. Amit Butani says:

Dear John, trust you can help me. Sorry for the long detailed email but wanted to give you all the possible information that I had jotted down.

Medical Synopsis of Amit Butani 2014

    1. Episode 1 took place somewhere around January 2014, the morning I did a 10 km run. Probably had spaced out meal and at the office pantry lunch table an onset of dizziness took place, while I was just about to start eating. I quickly got up and took a walk and after sometime felt OK. During this time I continued running and stopped drinking and followed a strict date. I went for medical tests and did abdominal scan (report 27th Feb, 2014). The organs were fine and only showed normal grade 1 fatty liver. I did my CBC, lipid, electrolytes serum and SGPT and SGOT that report is not attached but was nothing to be concerned. Please refer Aster report of 23rd Feb 2014. After this I never visited the GP and my head heaviness, motion was there for a month and couple of days and after that it just went away!

    2. Episode 2 took place in June 2014 on a flight from Belgium to Dubai. I had fever for a day prior and had not eaten anything on the day of the flight. I was lying down on the seat in the aircraft for about 3 hours or so on a 3-seat arrangement and then suddenly got up to go to the washroom. I felt light headed and this time I fell down but conscious throughout and the air hostess made me lie down on the isle, gave me oxygen and juice and chocolate. I was fine nothing after that. Never visited the GP

    3. Episode 3 took place on 8th October 2014. I had gone for a 10k run in the morning and probably had a spaced out meal and was really hungry and soon as I got down to eat at the office pantry again the dizziness came and I immediately got up thinking I would faint but felt ok soon after. I had my lunch in the conference room. The next day I met my first GP Abdoul Rouf, a Lebanese. He saw my Feb reports wherein RBC was 6.3 and said I have polycythaemia. He said to a complete check up. The report of which is attached herewith. He told me to stop working out. Advised Stugeron twice a day after morning and night meals and Asprin 100mg one after Lunch. Also advised a complete body check up and come and meet him
The next day 9th October I went to a trampoline place, where we were jumping a lot for an hour and also while doing a somersault I had a slight crack at my neck and think got a neck spasm/muscle strain.

12 October 2014 – I went with the attached reports to my first GP Abdoul Rouf he reiterated its polycythemaia and told me to continue with Stugeron twice a day after morning and night meals and once aspirin 100mg once after lunch. He told me to donate blood and then come and meet him. I went and donated the blood after couple of days. Over there also they did a complete CBC and my RBC was 6.23 and other readings were normal within their range parameters and hence I donated blood. Anyways on the day of donation of blood I felt good maybe because it is a good social cause.

    4. Episode no. 4 was day after blood donation 21st October 2014, I was staring constantly at my laptop on my desk at a slouched position which I am normally in for couple of hours number crunching and again it was around 1 pm, close to lunch time and suddenly I got the onset of dizziness/lightheadedness/faintness and got up. The sensation lasted for a while. This time I told my office colleague drop me home and went home had a meal and felt better.
I went to the clinic next day i.e 22nd October and was advised to do my OGTT, Hormone analysis and CBC (Reports attached dated 22nd October). Same day, I also decided to meet an ENT Dr. Mukesh in case I have middle ear disturbance or sinisitus or spondyloitis. The ENT checked my ear, nose and asked for Neck X-ray (CD Dr. Mukesh). There was no sinistus but he said you have a neck spasm and this could be the trampoline incident. I did an audi gram test as well which said my hearing is fine. But no scan was done to check middle ear. While I was at the clinic continuing my tests my colleague strongly suggested that I meet another GP to get a second opinion. She has been in Dubai for 20 years, Dr. Vani.

22nd October – This is where I met my second GP Dr Vani K. Warrier. She saw the attached report and completely ruled out polycytheamia and told me to stop the medicines i.e. Stugeron and Aspirin. She said it is really surprising that the doctor could diagnose polycythemia. She checked my BP 5 times. standing, sitting etc and ruled out high BP. Said I didn’t have any BP problem. She did ECG where I had probes attached to my feet, chest and other places and that came out fine. I did even a back x-ray which was fine and did a blood smear test (Report hematology, 22nd October) which was fine. She then said it could be lack of electrolytes, bad posture and work stress. She then referred me to the cardiologist. Dr Jason.

    5. Episode no 5 I was waiting for the cardiologist (this is all the same day 22nd October 2014). I was doing my OGTT so I was fasting the same day when I met my second GP and ENT. While I was waiting at the cardio reception referred by Dr. vani the onset of dizziness again took place .The cardio dept nurse took me inside while I was feeling this dizziness and did ECG and checked BP which came out fine. Met the cardiologist and he checked me physically and ruled out that there is a heart issue but recommended that I do a doppler on my neck and holtometer 24 hours test to see if there is irregular heartbeat which I had to do. The cardiologist ruled out polycytheamia as well and told me to stop aspirin and stugeron and instead take betaserq 8mg twice a day.

The next day 23rd October I also thought since I have a bulging disc maybe my running has caused some twitching of the nerve at the back and was thinking this may be the problem.
On 26th October I met the orthopedic, a Maharashtrian, Dr. Abhay Dhandavate who was again highly recommended. He did a whole body examination for nerve sensation and said that there is no problem on the nerve or your back and there is no reason to do even a MRI. He also believed there is no polycytheamia and that I should not take any medicines and once I am feeling fine to start exercise as usual. He told me the dizziness could be combination of work stress, poor posture, loss of electrolytes because of excessive exercising, and check for hypoglycemia. He saw my neck x-ray and said there is a very slight bulge which he will not call spondyitis but spondylos or something but not a great concern.

    27th October 2014 I was fine

    6. Episode no 6 28th October. I had a light breakfast at 6.30 am and then at 8.45 am had something but at 9 started to feel a bit uneasy and dizziness not like previous ones but I just calmed myself and it went away and I said to myself I am not getting any more of this feeling henceforth.

    7. Episode no 7 – 2nd November. All these days I was feeling fine and then on 2nd November again not feeling well I went for a walk and then had dinner. I was feeling uneasy and told my wife lets go to the hospital. I could not sleep as I could feel throbbing sensation on my neck. There I got admitted and got CT scan and MRI done (CD attached) under neurophysician Dr. Nouri and my MRI was all clear and Brain is normal. I met the neurophysician and he did all physical test and told me it is a case of peripheral vertigo and can came with seasonal changes, posture, work pressure, anxiety and can be a combination of many things. He said not to worry and it will go away. I was in hospital for 3 days

    8. Episode no 8 14th November. I was feeling fine driving around took the kids to the park and after that went alone to watch interstellar a 3 hour movie. I was sitting in the front row so had my head staring upwards at an angle throughout and suddenly felt an onset of neck stiffness, fullness in my ears , sweaty hands. I took betaserq and then the feelings faded away slowly. I drove back and decided to meet a second ENT the next day who diagnosed it as inner ear problem and advised Beta serq 16mg thrice a day for two weeks.

    9. Episode no 9 31st November. I was in office feeling fine and sat down for lunch and after eating my lunch the neck became stiff, with feeling of numbness from the left handside of the base of the neck to the left ear and around it fullness. I guess this was coupled with an anxiety attack and rushed to meet my neurosurgeon. The feeling lasted an hour or so and I still felt that something at the back of my neck was the cause. However my neurophysician said it was migraine and told me to continue betaserq 8mg twice a day and take relpax if the attack comes again and sent me away.

The next day I also did holtometer, vitamin b12 and 2D echo test all of them came clear.

Finally I consulted a pain specialist in India who works with pain shoulders and above with cervical xray of AP + LAT and she diagnosed it as mkyofascial neck pain relating to the head . She said there was loss of curvature. She said the nerve is getting pinched at the back of the neck and this is typical symptom of the imbalance/dizziness feeling coming on and off with numbness feeling and fullness feeling from the base of the neck towards the year. The medication provided by her has given me tremendous relief, Etoshine 90 twice a day for two weeks and benzemay 15 once a day at 7 pm for one month. Heat pack thrice a day and rub a tennis ball at the back for massage.

    Observations
My earlier symptoms were very drastic and aggressive. I could not sit for long. Would get pain radiating to my jaws, forehead and severe imbalance. My left hand I could feel numb with tingling also in my right toe. It would get aggravated sitting on hard surfaces, crossing my legs. Sitting, whcil driving, sitting in the theater, on flights, walking on carpet, smooth surfaces. These episodes would come and go and when I didn’t have them it felt as if there is nothing wrong with me. As you can see I did all possible tests,, CT angio of the carotid artery, MRI of brain, blood tests ete etc etc. It was a rough ride.

My treatment started in Jan 2015, did a lot of physio therapy, posture correction, strengthening using thera bands. Stopped running as I feel running was the cause of the same. Started swimming and walking. Changed my diet.

Current situation as of 4th Nov. My internal motion/imbalance has completely stopped but still comes with a sensation if I sit for long hours and feel tightness in the neck sometimes which comes and goes especially in sitting position. I almost feel excellent then suddenly the onset comes of faintness, light headedness after which the imbalance sets in which is not severe like it used to be.

Please advise what next to do as I believe the body is healing but its taking its own sweet time.

    Current medication
    NONE
doing Neck stretches & strengthening, physiotherapy with thera bands, exercising walking and swimming 5 times a week for atleast an hour a day.
    Best regards,
    Amit Butani (Age 38 years)

    • Hi Amit, what you have according to all the information you get from me is going to be forward head carriage and pressure on the nerves in the neck upper back as well as possibly an unstable pelvis. To get your health back we need to get you to a corrective chiropractor has soon as possible. With your work on the computer and your symptoms there are sensors in your neck that if they’re not functioning correctly will cause exactly the symptoms that you’re experiencing.
I will help in anyway I can, health is your natural state.
      Dr B

      • Amit Butani says:

Thank you so much doc. Do you have any recommended list available in Dubai, UAE?

        • I don’t know of any corrective Chiropractors in UAE but use our 7 questions to find a good one because getting your nervous system working correctly is vital. If they answer at least 5 with a YES, then they are good to go.
          1. Do you take x-rays? (essential to find the subluxations)
          2. Do you get listings off of x-rays? (shows where to adjust)
          3. Do you take post x-rays to document structural changes made?
          4. Are your treatment goals to reshape and restore the natural curves?
          5. Are you familiar with correcting disc injuries?
          6. Do you work on post surgical patients?
          7. Can you reverse arthritis?

  48. Hey dr.B its your patient Micah I’ve increased the intensity of my exercising from walking to running every day and my paranoia completely went away. However I still don’t have good bowel movements, the lady who does the colonics said I have lots of trapped gas indigestion and yeast. What could I do to stop the gas and yeast. lately I’ve been waking up with a numb left hand, then I straighten it and it goes away. Isn’t that a heart problem? And my limbs would always lose circulation faster then they should but I never really paid attention to that. Heat flashes. I’m wondering if this whole thing has been a blood problem or my arteries are clogged. Without healthy blood the gallbladder can’t absorb fats correctly for hormones and bad blood flow so that would cause hair to fall out. And or adrenal fatigue. Under this stressed response blood to digestion is shut down, etc etc you get me. This just makes too much sense. What could I do for healthy arteries? If it even is. What Should I do? Obviously exercise, should i just go on a juice and blend diet? What specific foods are great for removing plaque? And how can I avoid this gas? Do white potatoes cause this yeast?

    • And would coffee be bad in this case? Wouldn’t it help blood flow and oxidation? Does it tax the adrenals after it wears off?

    • Hi Micah
You don’t have compromise blood flow and heart issues. The numbness of the hand is from pinched nerves commonly in those who sleep with the bent arm, everyone has that! For the gas and yeast and clean blood and clean arteries, Carrot and apple juice every day. I’m glad you changed your workout routine. Organic coffee with a little organic sugar or coconut oil or organic butter is good. Keep up the good work
      Dr B

      • TheMdub27 says:

But it has to be a blood problem, I’ll raise my hands in the air and feel them lose circulation a way quicker then they should. What is causing all of these weird symptoms Dr B? Especially the whole body hair loss. Coffee gets me all nervous, it didn’t before I came down with this.

        • Hi Micah, arteries involve heat cold or swelling not numbness or tingling. Hair loss is generally from adrenal fatigue and that is usually from stress. Since there’s only three stressors physical chemical and emotional. We identified the physical stressors on the xrays, the chemical stressors you’ve corrected through appropriate diet, and the emotional stressors are controlled with high doses of omega-3’s and juicing/blending. And detoxing the body by walking outside on the grass and on hard sand. I’m very happy that you are increasing your workout which helps with anxiety and that will also help with the emotional stress, you will get better see you soon

Ok thank you. But Aren’t too many pufas bad? But also I’ve noticed that my skin becomes red very easily when pressure is applied to it for time and it stays longer then I feel it should, people even notice it and comment about it. That and when I raise my hand or hold something between my torso and arm I feel circulation cut off, then when I put it down or release it I feel the blood rush back. My knees feel bad too, and I used to parkour and I never had bad knees. Are chia and flax seeds good for omega 3s? Or too many pufas?

          • Hi Micah,

There are two main types of PUFA’s, omega 3 and omega 6 polyunsaturated fatty acids. Avoid polyunsaturated oils, no corn oil, no soy oil, and no canola oil. Omega 3 essential fatty acids are found in fatty fish, shellfish, liver, and in flaxseeds, these are good for us in moderate amounts. There’s a great fish oil nanoEPA, it’s what I use.

  49. kate murphy says:

Hi Dr B- I have seen a corrective chiro for months now to help restores cervical curve. Sleep apnea had not improved. What are some restorative exercises i can do at home to help occiput?

    • Make sure your chiropractor is taken X-rays before and after. Restoring the curve in the neck is the best way to stabilized the occiput. Also make sure the pelvis is stabilized. The breathing should be fixed within a couple of weeks. Let me know how you’re doing.

      Dr B

    Hi Dr. B!
I have been experiencing sleep apnea. What’s the root cause? Why are so many people suffering from sleep apnea these days? There seems to be a major rise the number of people being diagnosed.
And, how in the heck can you heal your adrenals if you’re not sleeping soundly? UGH!

    • Hi Kate, our population today is extremely sick. For sleep apnea you need to check upper cervical mechanics. You have to get your nervous system checked by a corrective Chiropractor. They will need to align the occiput on the atlas to optimize the foramen alignment. Also check the upper thoracic area. Check out our sleep video. We need to get you to sleep better.

    Dear Dr. Bergman,

I am the member at Owners-Guide and a really huge, appreciative fan of your work, information you provide and all the knowledge your share. And I wish you had closer practice to where I live.
I have discovered Ray Pete life long scientific articles, read them all, which completely changed my view at food industry, food we eat and especially todays medical practices.
I have to admit I am a food scientist by training, with MS and PhD in food science and technology. I moved away from working in typical research and development in food industry for various reasons.

Now, I am originally from Poland, but living in the US for last 15 years, in the Philadelphia area in PA.
I have both my Mother and Father visiting me and was considering flying out to CA to visit your practice and have an appointment for all of us. They speak little English, but I can be a translator. This is their sixth visit to the US after all.
Briefly, I (47 yo) have no current major health issues, but would love to get your opinion on the health of my nervous system.
My Mother (72 yo) deals with multiple issues, including Thyroid, sweating excessively during a day, sleeplessness, and some hip and knee problems.
My Father (74 yo) has some underlying heart problems, had a single occurrence of heart arrhythmia a year ago, diagnosed with high blood pressure swelling of his feet, constant bowel movement issues and also some lower back pain problems.
Neither of their current doctors can help with the problems they are having.
Both, my Mom and Dad have been prescribed anti cholesterol drugs, but with my help and conviction they stopped taking them, and I modified their diet to help and encourage them to increase exercise level.
We could do the visit in the first half of January 2016 for maybe 5 days including weekend. Would single (or multiple days) visit like this and seeing you for medical opinion benefits us?

I would greatly appreciate your thoughts and recommendations.

    Sincerely,

    Kasia

    • Czesc Kasia,

Thank you for taking charge and for helping you parents. Make sure your mom gets healthy fats because with the thyroid damaged her adrenals will be working harder. And get them on some healthy supplements like plant based minerals and omega-3 oils, and soluble fibers to clean the arteries. When we see you we’ll do x-rays, scans and the report of findings, most people stay between one to six weeks depending on the case. Call my office Bergman Family Chiropractic in Huntington Beach 714-962-5891 my team will help you set up an appointment. Looking forward to seeing you guys.

  52. Hi John,

My 12 year old daughter is schedule for surgery on 07/14/15 to correct her scoliosis. Her curve is greater than 50%. My husband does not want her to do the surgery but I am worried that it will get worst. Moreover, she has started to have pains and other issues. What are some of the risks with this type of surgery and would you recommend her see a chiro instead. We live in Delaware and would like to know if you could recommend a good chiro.

Also, I am not able to access to the forum since I signed up. Can you please what I am doing wrong. I’ve signed up for the 6 months access.

    Sophia

    • Dr DeWitt sent you an email regarding the forum. Obviously, you need to exhaust all other options before even considering putting your little angel through such a horrible surgery. Best case scenario would be to plan a trip to Disneyland here in Southern California. We have had phenomenal results with all of our scoliosis patients. At the very least, you could get a good quality set of xrays and evaluation.

If a trip to SoCal is not feasible, ask any potential chiropractors in Delaware THESE QUESTIONS If they answer yes to 5 of the 7 questions, then you are in the right place.

      • Martha Federle says:

I would like to say that I traveled to the Bergman Clinic in late June 2015, and my primary reason was scoliosis. I am 74 years old and have been told I have scoliosis since I was young, but I was just starting to notice the really negative side of it. I was tested and diagnosed, and given all the info to give to a chiropractor in Sacramento who was recommended by Dr. Bergman. I have been getting regular treatment since then and it is amazing how much of a difference I’m seeing myself. I know I’m on my way to great health and posture, and I recommend that a child should at least be checked by a corrective chiropractor before turning to surgery. Please give it a try for your daughter.

6-2011 Nephrotic Syndrome at age 16 teen. 11-2012 at the age 18 came down with sore throat, Dr. thouhgt it was strep (tested came back negitive), gave him Cefalexin I took for 4 days. Nephritic Syndrome came back with in 2 day of taking Cefalexin. I was treated with prednisone and tapered off. Two weeks ago My Albustix reading 30 mg/dL. Refrained from using my new rice cooker and stop using deodorant. My protein leave dropped to trace then negitive. I had foamy urine during this time, sometime my urine had no foam. With in the last two weeks my protein leave have been bouncing in between trace & negitive and twice its hit 30, 99% of the time my urine is foamy. On 7-2-15 stared taking Curcumin, Fish oil & Krill oil. And eating all organic fresh fruits and vegetables. My protein leave bouncing in between trace & negitive. On 7-3-15 pm was the last time my protein hit 30. Also I had lost six pounds from removing to many high calories foods out of my diet. Milk, cheese, eggs, rice, and nuts. Drinking bone broth. On 7-4-15 started eat grass fed beef and keeping my calories much higher. On 7-5-15 I tested twice with my Albustix, I was negitive both times and I had less foam in my urine. Today 7-7-15, I tested negitive and had much less foam, very close to normal this morning. I eating the same as the last 3 days except took haft of the Curcumin twice a day. 7-8-15 I tested negative and much less foam in my urine, very much normal urinations, doing everything the same as yesterday.

I talked with my Nephrolligest three weeks ago on the phone. And had blood and urine lab work done. He said lets keep a watch on his urine and my protein leaves get higher to come in. I know the Nephrotic Syndrome is environmental and caused from my leaky gut.

I am hoping that my organic diet is the reason for my improvement and not the Curcumin, but it beats prednisone. I watch leaky gut YouTub video you made, it’s very helpful, thank you!

As in your YouTub video, I am on total organic diet. I am supplementing Complete probiotics Dr. Mercola, superba kill oil, Wild Alaskan fish oil, raw virgin coconut oil, vitamin c, and weaning off Turmeric/Curcmin Purely Holstic. The rest of the supplements do you sell in you office? Or should I buy Vital Earth plant based mineral supplement? I live not fair from your office. How much iodine should I take.

      • Your doing everything that I would recommend, also check out my video on healthy kidneys if you haven’t already https://www.owners-guide.com/healthy-kidneys-life/. I would take one to two drops of lugols iodine the one I like and carry in my office is from England, Ancient Purities and for mineral supplement, Body Balance is an excellent product I use it daily, it’s the best sea vegetable based and organic minerals I have found. Eliminate toxic grains ancient grains will be ok and get lots of fermented foods to help your gut. Drink lots of healthy water and start juicing and blending organic berries. I also recommend you get your nervous system checked by a corrective Chiropractor. We will get you better and healthy. Hey it’s Micah I had a check up with you. my hair is falling out of my head, not from the front but all sides, even my genitals are losing hair. You told me it was my adrenals. Which means thyroid is not functioning. Could not eating enough calories cause hair loss? Because I saw some blogs online saying they were losing hair from not eating enough. Which makes sense. How can I get more calories on just fruits and leaves? My stomach gets too full, and when I don’t eat enough I get panic attacks.i don’t know what to do because there’s so much miss information out there. I take a mineral supplement and iodine. I really don’t know what to do. Watching my hair fall out just makes me even more worried. Eating fermented fibers makes it feel like the food inside me passes too slow. What could I do for my hair?

Also my hormones feel out of balance, I have really low sex drive, what can I do to balance them, I’ve lost a lot of weight from this diet, muscle loss too, I’ve haven’t been lifting weights for a while because I want to let my body heal. is weight lifting okay for the time being? Or do I need to heal first?

          • Hi Micah, Hair is a fast growing cell and can be effected by stress and elevated cortisol levels. That will slow down the thyroid and also cause poor digestion. It only makes sense that your sex drive is low. Stress, anxiety and depression can affect sexual desire. Also diabetes, obesity, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, low testosterone, low levels of thyroid and believe it or not hair loss remedies and other medication can also affect sexual desire. Getting the pressure off of your nervous system will help to get you out of this crisis. Weightlifting will be no problem. We will be going over healthy food that will get you the perfect amount of calories and lots of healthy fats, check out vegan body builders on google. Listen to your body it’s smarter than we know. Let me know how you are doing, you’ll get healthy fast.

          • That should be good as long as he is getting plenty of healthy water. With any cleanes I recommend you get at least 2,000 mg of vitamin C with bioflavinoids at least 5 times a day to get your immune system working.
            He will get better fast

  54. Austin Stein says:

    Hi Dr. Bergman,

I made a post about 1 year ago with regard to the severe pain I had around my sesamoid bones on the left foot. You prescribed for me to see a corrective chiropractor, which I didn’t end up doing because I basically figured out what the problem was. After wearing orthotics for about 5 yrs for shin splints (from running) and the shin pain only getting worse, I was recommended to try switching to fore-foot running with minimalist running shoes. It did reduce the shin pain but simultaneously led to the pain around the sesamoid bones not long after. After numerous appointments with various specialists, and essentially being told that a surgical removal of the bones, or pain killing drugs for the rest of my life (I’m only 20 yrs old) were my only options. Refusing both, I researched and researched, eventually discovering that the orthotics had severely atrophied (in addition to the soleus pump) the foot muscles which pull the sesamoid bones into their grooves, causing the bones to sit out of place. With some foot exercises I found, I was able to eliminate the problem in a matter of a few days. Phew…

Now it seems I have somewhat of what may be an opposite problem. After much activity and exercise of my calves and feet, my right big toe is very stiff and has developed a bone spur on top of the first big toe joint. I do notice that when the Gastrocnemius gets tight after exercise, the problem worsens. However, it seems that no amount of stretching and massaging of the calf/foot complex fully relieves the problem, and the stiffness always returns soon after. Could it still be that I have a nerve subluxation that needs correcting, or might there be something else involved? I feel as though the innervations of my lower leg muscles are strong and I have good motor control. I am also quite flexible and can easily touch the ground with my legs straight.

    Many thanks in advance,

    Austin

    • Hi Austin, yep what you are describing is compressed nerves in your low back and with what you have gone through there may also be an unstable pelvis, the compressed nerves will show up on a set of corrective xrays by a corrective Chiropractor
Let me know how you’re doing
      Dr B

      • Austin Stein says:

Okay thanks. What exactly do you mean by corrective? I saw a chiropractor the other day because I also had a sore upper back/neck and was having headaches. He gave me an adjustment and I asked him about x-rays and he said they were only necessary for degeneration concerns. Are there some questions I can ask him to see if he is a corrective chiropractor or just what I should tell him with regard to the compressed nerves in lower back? I searched online for a corrective chiropractor in my area but the term doesn’t seem to come up. You wouldn’t happen to know any corrective chiropractors in Toronto would you?

        Thanks again,

        Austin

        • Hi Austin, corrective chiropractor will restore your spine and your nervous system. He will take x-rays, evaluate the central nervous system and do a complete check up to achieving and maintaining optimal health. Ask the 7 questions below, If they answer at least 5 with a YES, then they are good to go.
          1. Do you take x-rays?
          2. Do you get spinal listings off of the x-rays? ( some Doctors only take x-rays because they can bill for them)
          3. Is your goal to restore normal function or only symptom relief? (Most Doctors: MD’s, DC’s, Physical therapists treat only symptoms and that is NOT Corrective care)
          4. Do you take post x-rays to document the structural changes made? (This is the only way to show correction)
          5. Are you familiar with repairing disc injuries? (this requires a high level of skill)
          6. Do you work with post spinal surgery patients? (this requires a high level of skill )
          7. Do you work with Pediatrics and the Elderly? (this requires very specific techniques)

Here is a great Chiropractor in Toronto:

          Let me know what happens
          Dr B

          • Austin Stein says:

Thanks, I watched your video ‘how to find a corrective chiropractor’ in the meantime and so I sent out emails to like 8 different chiropractors. Most said they usually didn’t take x-rays, or didn’t get spinal listings, or didn’t do post x-rays. One of them recommended I see this one though: http://joshuagelber.com as he does the pre and post x-rays. From what I’ve read off of his site, he seems to get the ‘wholistic’ idea and the importance of thorough analysis/detective work, as you say. However, he says he uses ‘gentle adjustments’ to ‘stimulate the nervous system,’ which I’m not exactly sure what he means by stimulating. Although, he does pre and post x-rays, so he must be doing some kind of actual adjustment right? I have an appointment booked for this Thursday morning with him. If you have a minute between now and then to look at his site and let me know your thoughts that would be outstanding (also, if you have the time, look at his new patient paperwork under Contact Us—it’s a far cry from any other chiro I’ve been too). If I don’t hear back from you before then, I’ll probably give him a go, at least get the x-rays done, and failing that I will try the Turner Wellness—I tried to get on their site and it said url not found…

Also, I’m just curious how a lack of nerve supply could result in a lack of flexibility in the big toe, and how a lack of flexibility could result in pain and bone spur on the first MTP joint; and if there might possibly be any exercises/stretches/massaging I could do in the meantime to relieve that symptom until proper nerve supply is restored. I’m looking at the Flexor Hallucis Longus and have been trying to loosen that up….?

            Thanks again,

            Austin

          • Hi Austin, it looks like a good place I would check them out. I still think Dr Turner is the best and he has more experience. Compress nerves in the low back can weaken the intrinsic muscle of the foot leading to alter foots mechanics.

  55. Budi Y. Djunaedi says:

Hi dr. Bergman, I am Budi from Jakarta, Indonesia. I just joined your membership 2 days ago.
I have 16 years old daughter who is diagnosed with brain tumour (low grade astrocytoma) since 2007. She will get seizures 2-3 times a month. The seizures usually come when she is near her menstrual period. The duration of each seizure is about 1 minute.
She is doing well with her school. I am afraid the Seizure will affect her study in the future. According to the neurosurgeon that we have consulted, the tumour’s size does not grow. We do brain MRI every year and consults with the neurosurgeon. To prevent the seizures, she is taking Dilantin 2×150 mg everyday from a neurologist that we consult every once a month. She is taking curcuma extract 2 times a day and folic acid tablets 3 times a day for protecting her liver from the side effect of the Dilantin. I am very afraid with her health and her future quality of life since she has to take so much medications for rest of her life.
Can a corrective chiropractor reverse brain tumour and stop the seizures? Is there any corrective chiropractor in Indonesia that you can recommend. I will do anything to give her a healthy life.

    • Hi Budi, My heart goes out to you, there’s nothing worse then your child hurting. The most common source of brain tumors in kids is vaccinations, a good site is http://www.ouralexander.org/. A corrective chiropractor can definitely help with the seizures . To heal a child that has a brain tumor the best approach is from Dr Burzynski http://www.burzynskiclinic.com/. She will also have some gut issues, put her on an organic plant based diet with lots of healthy fats. Also increase her water intake. A ketogenic diet has been used to control seizures for almost 100 years, this may be effective for controlling the seizures, it will give a huge amount of fats to fuel the brain and may be a way to control the seizures with less side effects then the meds. Unfortunately, I don’t know anyone in Indonesia. Ask the 7 questions below, If they answer at least 5 with a YES, then they are good to go.
      1. Do you take x-rays?
      2. Do you get spinal listings off of the x-rays? ( some Doctors only take x-rays because they can bill for them)

Again many thanks for your help, your information on Burzinsky clinic really bring a new hope for my daughter wellbeing.

        • Hi Budi, I think it’s great that you’re looking into the Burzinsky clinic. Before you go on the ketogenic diet check with the burzinsky clinic. Some people don’t do well on that diet and there are side effects. I’m sure the clinic will give you direction on that. Please keep me informed.

hi dr bergman, need your help
i just within the last couple of days discovered i believe that i have toxic levels of aspartame and sucralose. aspartame in my soda and water that i have been drinking every day for the past couple of years. i recently have been listening to your programs on you tube and joined this website. knowledge is so powerful. thank you for getting this information out to us. i started changing my diet about two weeks ago and of course had to research what i was drinking too. then started feeling really bad, unhealthy, i have been drinking 2 diet sodas daily and 3-32oz bottles of water daily all with aspartame in them. i also have been using splenda now for many years in everything to replace sugar. now that i have stopped i am having detrimental side effects and would like to know if and what i could take for supplements to help with the withdrawals and to shed these toxins from my body. i have had terrible headaches, joint pain, anxiety, depression, anger, severe heart palpitations, and confusion. i am so afraid of another heart attack, since it has only been 7-mos since i had to have two stents put in. please advise what i should be doing. thank you
    barbara

    • Hi Barbara, first you need to get x-ray by a corrective Chiropractor to check you nervous system. You need to alkalize your system with an organic plant based diet, juicing and blending will also help to clean the blood. For headaches, joint pain, anxiety and depression, that will go away when we get your nervous system and diet checked and corrected. Get some good supplements like Vit C, D-3, and a plant based mineral supplement. you may need some digestive enzymes, probiotics, colonic, and there maybe some nerve pressure or even an unstable pelvis that can contribute to an acidic or toxic body, luckily health is your natural state.

        HI Dr Bergman,
Thank you for the reply. I did find a corrective chiropractor in Valrico fl who answered yes to five out of seven questions. I have been to him for three times now. My neck has lost most of curve. My lower back gives me a lot of trouble too. Now i did ask about a nervous system check and he does not believe they are useful, so does not do it. He did take a lot of x-rays. He follows the Paleo diet. I had a mri done one year ago and my last chiropractor said i had a tilted, forward pelvis, but this one says he did not see that on x rays. I seriously do not know what to think now! This chiropractor is a corrective chiropractor in biophysics (CBP). What should i do now, find someone else? Sorry to be a pest but i just need some good advice at this point. Thank You Barbara

        • Barbara,

CBP is a good technique. If he’s taking before and after xrays then that is a good sign. If he needs help determining where the pressure on the nervous system is, I would be more than happy to help.

I don’t if this has been covered before. Sleep apnea would involve upper cervical corrections( I assume). And as the cranial nerves Ix and X(?) exit the bottom of the skull definitely check on the position of the occiput. Softening of the upper cervical musculature would also be a benefit with the towel exercise you have recommended in some of your videos. Any other suggestions greatly appreciated.

    • Hi Michel, You are so right with Sleep apnea you need to check upper cervical mechanics. The extension exercise for the neck will help, you have to get your nervous system checked by a corrective Chiropractor. They will need to align the occiput on the atlas to optimize the foramen alignment. Also check the upper thoracic area

    Hi Dr. B
Met you on the cruise. I have servere problem with ezema. It is all ower my body and the rashing -is killing me-. Bad sleeping habits -turned the day/night – so I sleep when it is possible. The rash comes suddenly and I can’t stop scratching. I’m freezing very much and have difficult with relaxing. Do you have any video with this problem.? Greatings to you and the family. /Margareta

    • Hi Margareta, with eczema you have to increase your acid and that can come from apple cider vinegar or bentain-HCL. Add berry smoothies to your diet with cacao which has anti inflammatory properties. Also you have to get your nervous system checked by a corrective Chiropractor and that will balance your nervous system because your are in a sympathetic dominant state and that can be corrected. That was a fun cruise.

Let me know how your doing
      Dr B

      • Margareta says:

Thank you for your quick reply. I just found it. Have problem with focusing so I did not remeber where I put my question.
Will try with the apple cider vinegar first, as it seems the easiest one.
What is your oppinion about getting UVB-light sessions – have had a few around 10 seconds each time. But as I have scratsched myself so much I did not dare to go there – I have also had baths with kaliumpermenganate (?) –
Thank you for sharing your knowledge.

        Best regards
        Margareta

        • Hi Margareta, I recommend natural sunlight, short multiple exposure should be adequate. 5 to 10 minutes at noontime daily if your in a good latitude, in northern latitudes or in winter a sunlight with high UVB is great and Vitamin D-3 supplements are also good and for tissue healing get your nervous system checked by a corrective Chiropractor and supplement with healthy omega 3’s . Permanganate crystals and concentrated solutions are caustic and can burn the skin. Even dilute solutions can irritate skin and may cause burns.

Shalom :) Dr , Bergman I wanted to ask what mineral supplement you recommend ? I been taking Concen Trace trace minerals and wanted to make sure its good . Thank you :)

    • Shalom Danny, the best mineral supplement is Body Balance, I highly recommend it. It’s made from sea vegetables. The best source of minerals are ionized which means that a plant takes the minerals from mineral rich soil and the last mineral rich soil on the plant is from the ocean floor .

    Hi Dr. Bergman,
I have watched a ton of your videos on youtube, “BRILLIANT” keep up the good work!
I have suffered from psoriasis for the past 25 years, i,ve recieved every treatment under the sun from my dermatologist, from creams to methotrexate injections, i came off the methotrexate because of the side effects, and now my psoriasis has got worse, i have got about 80% coverage at this moment in time, i have regular colonics and trying all types of diets, but i think i need something laid out so that i can follow strictly.
I was diagnosed with candida about 3 years ago from clippings from toenail fungus so i assume i still have that aswell, can you suggest a diet with suppliments or detox that i can follow to get rid of this horrid disease, i’m from south wales in the Uk, just wish you were closer!
    Many thanks
    Wayne

    • Hi Wayne
Lets get you better!! The candida maybe one of the sources check out on youtube Dr Dorothy Daniels and her candida protocol it is very effective, but before you do that you need to get your nervous system checked by a corrective Chiropractor as soon as possible, people who have psoriasis typically have low acid in the stomach and that can be from your nervous system being stuck in a stressed state, ask your Chiropractor if a short round like 60 days of bentaine-HCL is right for you, and you need to get lots of resveratrol so organic berrie smoothies and also add moringa leaf powder, but again ask your Chiropractor about the amounts

Hello Dr Bergman, I first heard of you while searching YouTube. Already have learned much and am hungry for more!
I have been told by a Chiropractor in the Minneapolis area that
*the right side of my pelvis is ahead of the left side (as I look down on the pelvis).
*He said my spinal column has also “straightened out”, meaning has lost much of the proper curvature, especially in the low back.
*I’m guessing my job as a commercial driver (I sit for long periods) is not helping. I am willing to change jobs to help with above issues.
I do not seem to be making progress on either issue, and the Chiropractor seems unwilling to discuss much and tell me what to do such as stretches, exercises, etc. All he says is, “If it doesn’t hurt, then it’s ok.” Can you recommend a Chiropractor in the Minneapolis, MN area who will respond to my questions and make progress in the above issues? Thank you for considering this! I just signed up for the 6 month membership today and am excited to learn much from you.

    • Hi John
Your Chiropractor is wrong symptoms are the last stage of a dis-ease you need to find a corrective Chiropractor who will restore your spine and nervous system
I don’t know of any corrective Chiropractors in your area use our 7 questions to find a good one because getting your nervous system working correctly is vital
Also check out our video on pelvic health there is an exercise of a foam roll that is awesome for people who drive a lot
I will help in any way I can

Hi Dr Bergman, I’m a 70 year old fairly active female recently diagnosed with significant oesteoarthritis of the left knee, it’s probably in the right one too but that’s not really bothering me too much yet. I also have forward head posture and believe my posture may have caused my knee problems? The pain from my knee is quite severe at times especially when walking. I have been seeing a chiropractor over the last couple of years for spinal maintenance. ( No talk of improving my posture. ) I recently found you and watched your wonderful videos and decided I just had to join. After trawling through the videos I feel spiritually lifted that my condition is reversible with the correct treatment. I immediately sorted my diet out. I have started juicing again and already use filtered water, I’ve cut all sugar, meat, dairy and wheat out. I don’t take any medication, I prefer to use alternative remedies. I joined a gym 4 months ago hoping to strengthen the muscles in my leg and knee, it is helping a bit. My BP over the last 4 months has become quite high, I believe that could be due to stress and pain from my knee and broken sleep. Or sugar in my diet. My weight is good for my height and until recently I considered my self quite healthy.
Do you know of a chiropractor sympathetic to the idea of reversing arthritis in my area Lancashire UK. Any advice you can offer me would be welcome. Many thanks for all the valuable info you have provided for such a reasonable price. Janet

    • Hi Janet, sounds like you’re taking control of your health. You’re on the right path . I know a good chiropractor in London, Dr. Terry Chimes. Give him a call he may know of someone close to you. Check out our video on Knee and foot health there is a great exercise with weights and a block to stretch your calf that will help.
Healthy is your natural state You Rock!

Hi Dr bergman,i was at your chiro clinic for the first 2 weeks in March. Im thankful for what you and your team of chiro docs have done for all my spinal issues. My neck has dramatically improved over the short 2 week span that i was there and my lumbar and upper spine are still a work in progress…doing the cobra pose, swinging leg routine to build up knee strength, as well as the standing swinging arms for the spinal cord(you told me to shoot for 300 times which i find challenging, after 80 or so some dizzyness occurs so im building up to it) Anyway im doing 2 hour walks in the woods with flexable sneakers on rugged hilly terrain here in northeast jersey (actually took the liners out)..Juicing every day, paying more attention of how i pick up things in my tree business(no rounded back) In a weird kinda of way it was probably a blessing i fell while running down a hill, because i actually thought it was a knee problem which you discovered it was from the lumbar region(pinched nerves) as well as a crooked spine that has been there 10 years plus…this now makes sence to me because before i had my tree business when i was in my late 20s and 30s i was a decent runner winning and placing in alot of races. I know we all get slower in older age, but it seems after getting my tree business my running really got dramatically slower and seemed i was working so much harder…Little did i realize my spine was off. So continuing this “no pain no gain mentality” for several more years…. so im thankful i came to your clinic and found out the real cause …sorry to be so lengthy in my comment, if you havent fallen a sleep already :) thanks again Paul

Hi Dr. Bergman, I have been watching your videos solid for the past couple of weeks and loving them very much! Thank you!! One thing that I have been suffering with for the past few months is ‘interstitial cystitis’ – do you have any videos or information you have written on this particular issue, or indeed any recommendations for what I should be taking/eating/drinking or indeed should be avoiding? Any help you could give would be so appreciated. Thank you again! Piera, UK.

    • Hi Piera,
For that type of bladder issue you have to get your nervous system checked by a corrective Chiropractor as soon as possible, you will have a pelvic issue and nerve pressure on the area that supplies your kidneys, you will also need healthy amounts of root vegetable juicing, once you get your nervous system working better look for fast results.

    Hello Dr Bergman,
My husband and I have been watching your videos with great interest. My husband has congestive heart failure, kidney disease (glomerulo nephritis) and six months ago had a stroke caused by a mistake in a hospital. He’s on a stack of medication. My question is how does he get off the meds? You mentioned “water” tablets in a video we watched the other day. We know he’s passing a lot of minerals in his urine but what to do instead of the water tablets? If he doesn’t take them his lungs fill up. We have a good diet with good fats and lots of organic veges. I won’t swamp you with lots of questions in one post. Thank you!

    • Hi MarionH,
Lets get your hubby healthy, mistakes in a hospital are common, they tend to lower blood pressure without regards to the reason the body wanted it high and that can cause problems, the “water pills” is a diuretic and this will cause him to loose a lot of vital minerals, you have to get his nervous system checked by a corrective Chiropractor as soon as possible to get his breathing fixed, he will have nerve pressure in his neck and the top of his thoracic area, and this has to be corrected, he may also have an unstable pelvis so please get that checked first, once you get his nervous system working use our video on how to correct high blood pressure and to take BP correctly takes 10 minutes of deep breathing, all of this has to be done after he starts to get his nervous system healthy form the Chiropractor, it should take about 2 weeks for his BP to be too low and his medical doctor will reduce his medications, your Chiropractor will be able to help you reduce the other medication has he gets healthier, sick people need drugs but has he gets his health back if he takes drugs he doesn’t need he will get sick.
I will help in any way I can

Ok this is just plain weird. I have a slight scoliosis right convexity lumbar area left convexity thoracic area. For that past two years I have had pain in my right hip and left knee to the point of taking pain killers every day. Yeah I know not good. I have been using a back block for over a year this is good decompression exercise. But during the Day on my feet pain returns. Saw your videos on scoliosis over two months ago was impressed with your video on adjusting and treatment for scoliosis. But stretching calf muscles for pelvic pain?????? To make a long story short I began doing calf stretches three days ago. The moment I did them there was immediate relief of both hip and knee pain and then I began stretching in ernest I am off of pain killers and walking without pain some stiffness but that is going away to. Thank You very much but why do calf stretches work of SI joint?

    • Hi Robert, I’m glad your doing the calf exercise you also may need a trochanter support, the reason the calf is connected to the pelvis is that during normal walking if you can’t lift your foot correctly then you have to walk by moving your pelvis more than usual and that leads to an unstable pelvis and that causes pelvic problems… cool hey! when you look into the biomechanics of gate it is awesome what you find out

I am frustrated with your website! I was appreciative that I found your videos on YouTube and I’ve watched many of them. I signed up on the Owner-Guide and my profile info is still there but I have posted several comments which were there one, then not there the next, so I haven’t seen any replies. I am a 71 year old male, fairly good health, bit overweight, but active. I still work and workout. Two years ago was diagnosed with Continual A Fib, which I am never aware of. I declined any intervention & they put me on Xarelto, which I want to get off, since I don’t like taking meds. Any thoughts? Also have some urinary issues & ED. I’d like to find a good health care advisor. Do you know any good chiropractor in Lincoln, NE? I have the 7 questions you suggest. I really loved the info on weight training – heavy weights, s-l-o-w reps, one set. I can do a full body workout in 30 minutes and really toast the muscles! Thanks! I’d appreciate comments about the Xarelto/A Fib as well as a contact here in Lincoln. (I hope this post stays ‘on board’). Anxious for reply. Many thanks for the great work you are doing!

    • Hi Larry, I will tell Dr Dewitt about your problems with our site, he is the computer guy that runs that end, We have to get you to a corrective Chiropractor as soon as possible, the Afib will be coming from your upper neck area and/or upper thoracic area, you may also have nerve pressure on your low back and pelvis area causing the ED and urinary issues.
Let me know if you got this reply

Dr. John, I have been viewing your you tube videos daily for the past 5 weeks. Found a great chiropractor in Lincoln – Dr Shane Kepler and am starting my third week of treatments. After viewing all the X-rays in your videos, I knew what a bad looking spine was. Kepler took at least 7 X-rays including the motion ones on neck and lower back. I couldn’t believe what a mess I had created. Both the Doc and his assistant were ‘shocked’ with my X-rays since I had visited with both of them before the X-rays. I am doing better than my X-rays seem to indicate. Both my neck and lower back are a mess which explains the A Fib, low energy, urinary and ED issues. Kepler outlined a 90 day program, 3 x week, plus exercises. I have taken no drugs, no OTC stuff since Mar 1 (when I began listening to your videos) got some Body Balance and B12, along with the six adjustments so far, I’m sleeping better, have a little more energy and am VERY optimist about correcting EVERYTHING. I’m trying to get my four brothers and two sisters to watch your videos and get to a chiropractor. Thanks for your great work. Keep it up. As a professional educator for 40 years, let me tell you that you are ‘one hellava great teacher! ‘ Thanks, Larry

    • Hi Jonathan, I don’t know of any corrective Chiropractors in your area, use those 7 questions to find a good one, for what I take daily is: body balance (for minerals), Vitamin C “ester C brand” 2000mg 4 times a day, magistrol (for prostate health), ambrotose (for brain function), and lugol’s iodine, and ovega brand omega 3’s.

  71. Renee Ryder says:

    Hi lovely people,

Am new here. I wondered if any of you can point me in the direction of solving my Candida issue? I have also had a hair strand allergy test done. It revealed allergies to sugar, fructose, dairy, gluten, yeast, chemicals, tomatoes, cruciferous vegetables, potato, white rice, citric acid, pollen, mould, caffeine. I have problems with digestion and told I have inflammation in my body. Was also born with a thyroid problem (tongue protruding). Have excessive thirst too. I eat healthy and organic. There are so many anti candida diets out there and are very restrictive. My allergies are already restrictive lol. I don’t eat out anymore…

Appreciate your help – this has been an ongoing issue since my childhood – now 37!

    Love
    Renee

    • Hi Renee, For candida look more to getting a healthy nervous system and healthy diet first, with a thyroid problem and all of those allergies you may have a leaky gut, so first get your nervous system checked by a corrective Chiropractor then heal the gut with lots of juicing and blending then work on the candida, we all have candida and it is only a weakened immune system or toxic exposure that allows it to over grow
